    Few MOD questions?

    eyebrow spoiler suits the C much better than 'bod boy' extensions, a stright line above the lights makes it look just as mean as the \_______/ of a bad boy, but it just fits in with the lines of the car better.
  4. i couldnt find a wire coathanger so i used the extentablle ariel off an old portable radio....not the easiest of things! good luck mate ;)

    Corrado TT engine

    isnt that the 20v turbo conversion? or is it the 1.8T? either way its been done! do a search for either of those two engine types and you're sure to find something....
  6. snap! i did exactly the same! if its dark and you cant see it (and the bulbs still in the loom!) turn your indicators on, they're a bu&&er to find otherwise.

    Help!!!!

    i've got a pioneer in mine and when i first fitted it i had to mess on loads with the perminant/ ignition power wires, IIRC, i had put both into the perminant power to get it to work. might help....thought my was broken to start with :?
  8. vey nice mate, looks alot like mine when i fisrt got it 8)
  9. I wish! :roll: Changing the fluid sounds like a good idea, thinking about it, every time its happened has been on my way back from my parents house which has lots of long straight roads rudely interupted by roundabouts, so they'll be getting pretty hot. plan of attack then, change the fluid and get some pagid's, might as well do both to be sure! cheers chaps, insightful and helpful as always!
  10. i can put up with squeaking so long as they stop me! when you're bombing along at 90 and some fool moves out into the fast lane in front of you and your brakes start to die its definatly brown trouser time! where did you get your pads from? i just looked at awesome GTI and they only have them listed for the golf....
  11. I've had some quite scary moments recently where my brakes have been almost non-existant, noramlly when i've been thrashing it a bit ;) so they're obviously getting hot and just fading totally. The pads got replaced at the 80k service, and have done about 8k since. I do give them a fair amount of stick, and as far as i know they're VW parts (fitted by the stealer). I think some uprated ones are in order, but the only ones i've heard anything about are the green-stuff fast road pads. Cant afford to uprate the brakes beyond a set of pads really, so what do people recomend? (advice on disc's is welcome so long as they're cheap!)
  12. mine does the same, i was thinking about WD40, but no one seems to have mentioned it...good idea / bad idea?
  13. interesting colour! I'm pretty sure it would unfortunaly! I quite like the contrast of the orange on the cream leather, just a shame it wasnt done a bit better. Doesnt look like they sanded or primed anything before they went mad with the spraycan :( One other thing i'd do (personal taste) is swap the grille for a standard one, break up the sea of shiny gingerness ;)
  14. think its road legal? :twisted:
  15. there seems to be a few cars like that about, theres a green old shape laguna up here with the BIGGEST wing i've seen outside of formula 1 nailed to the back of it. tinted windows and yes....plastic wheel-trims. I tried to get a photo of it on my phone as i went past, unfortunaly it came out all blurry, but the driver was giving me a big grin and thumbs up at the time, i dont think he quite got the fact i was taking a picture so i could ridicule his lack of taste to anyone that would listen :mrgreen:

    SDi = ?

    found this on the citroen website thanks to google - "An overboost function integrated with the engine management system provides additional bursts of torque over a short period, for overtaking or in emergency situations." apparently it gives an extra 20nm of torque. makes you wonder why they dont just leave it on constantly! its a diesel so surely fuel consumption isnt as much of an issue....
  17. I'd give chris VR6NOS a pm mate, i'm sure his lifters are golf mk3's.

    SDi = ?

    slow diesel injection :wink: whats 'HDi' then? that "new 110bhp picasso with overboost" to quote the advert, is an HDi...hybrid or something?
  19. you're getting a mclarren f1 grafted to your bumper? niiiiiiice 8)
  20. the creamy one in the background looks interesting too....
  21. Nice cushion mate! 8) Its looking seriously nice now! That interior.... :shock: I think you forgot something though, where's your rear view mirror?!
  22. cheers dan! if anyone fancies one of these dans selling another one in the 'for sale' forum, i can vouch for his bubblewrapping skills ;)
  23. chris vr6nos has the two smaller lifters on his car, i've sure he told me they're the same as the ones for the golf and wernt that expensive, might be worth dropping him a PM mate....
