I agree about monaco, all the drivers have said that theres only 2 points you can realistically overtake on the entire track... that doesnt make for a crowd pleasing race, its basically F1's cash-cow. I still enjoy the grand prix, but i wish the racing was as close and competative as the touring car championship.

i love the sound of VR's in the morning... (cue 'Ride of the Valkyries') love the sound of the big old muscle cars, probably comes from growing up with the dukes of hazzard, the VR deffinatly has the best engine sound of any car i've personally driven, that howl curls my toes every time. Am i the old person who thinks ferarri's sound poo? too whiny and raspy for me, i like a nice meaty note.

woah! thats low! bit too low for my tastes, prefer the tires in line with the edge of the arch not inside it, but each to their own, small niggle with 2 otherwise perfect cars.

not a big fan of lexus lights, so i'd say change 'em for the m3 jobbies, deffinatly lower it and get some BBS with black centers and polished rims, would look the nuts!

I agree with Jim, its a joke and i feel for the people who paid a fortune for the tickets and travel to get there only to be disapointed, but the safety of the drivers has to come first. IMO the teams hands were forced by the FIA refusing to alter the track to allow them to race, as the governing body they should be thinking about whats best for the sport and whats best for the fans in this sort of situation rather than being so anal about the track layout. I'm also bit disapointed in ferrari imposing 'team rules' towards the end and killing the only bit of competition that was going on. the fans throwing beer cans is more than a little worrying too...

got my old red valver respraied (same colour) for £750 at a small local bodyshop, the guy had a jag, a lexus and his own xr3 in the workshop when i went in for the quote so i felt pretty confident leaving the car with him. The result was superb, although not 'show standard' it was bloody good for the money, glad i didnt dismiss the guy just because he was cheap. Suppose what i'm trying to say is the cheapest doesnt always mean the worst, check out their work before you make a choice based on price.

from memory, you want to be looking at the bottom right of the speaker hole. Mine didnt have any speakers in when i first took the doorcards off, which might have made it easier for me to find...actually I'm not sure it'd be all that visible or accessible with the speakers in place...hmmm!

I would have thought the ferarri style gaiter would be next to impossible in a C given the fact that it would have to allow for the gearstick being at all angles, even with a short shift the throw is still alot further than a ferarri's, might work if the gaiter was domed slightly, but i think that'd look odd!

its about time i posted an interior shot! if anyones got a spare speaker cover give us a shout... -
this has been bugging me for ages. See the pic below, how do you get the plastics to sit nice and flash without popping out every time you pull the handbrake? i've taken it to bits a few times, adjusted the plastic screw-cap thinys either side of the tunnel and put it all back together for it just to 'pop' out again as soon as i even look at it!
