  2. all questions of my cars sexuality can be laid to rest with the news that on the way in to work this morning it did its very best to rear-end an example of that notorious girls car - the MX5.

  5. £350 sounds like a bargain if its in good nick
  6. thats nowt new, K&N have been doign that for years!
  7. I'm not sure I like you thinking about me washing my car topless... I'm not sure I like ME thinking about it either! hold on a second... its always well groomed, likes designer labels... I think you might be on to something there... I'm going to check my glovebox for hidden showtunes CD's just remember who owned it before me *cough*
  8. I always thought the enzo was a bit under powered for a track day car, and that 150ms gear shift was just rubbish! thank god they've knocked 50ms off it for this version, i might consider buying one now...
  9. probably creates more turbulant air going in to the engine, but thats about it. The rest, i would expect, is bollocks.
  10. Deffinatly different, it gives your C a retro slant, needs a chrome roofrack with a battered suitcase in it to compliment the bra mk1/beetle stylee!
  11. i think pot may well have been involved somewhere along the lines of both the design, and any purchaces....
  12. ' The Turbonator is a non-moving vortex generator that goes inside your air intake hose, right after your air filter. ' which as everyone knows is SO much better than silly expensive forced induction, I wonder why no one thought of this sooner?
  13. I'm just looking at it in comparison to cars like OSV's, Kev's and Moonlight(midnight?)VR's, you've got to have something to aim for havent you! If I said it was perfect firstly I'd be lying and secondly I'd loose the motivation to get it the way I want it. I think it's already in the huff because I cant afford to buy it a supercharger  I make up for it by giving it nice bubble baths and a good rub down at the weekends though.
  14. Just my personal opinion, it did look 'ok' before I put the RH's on but it wasnt anything special, just a fairly tidy C. The photos I've posted hide a multitude of sins, theres a fair few bits of bodywork which need looking at. Maybe I'm just too harsh, its a 13 year old car at the end of the day and yeah, looking at it a layman probably wouldnt guess that, but the RH's transformed its look into something far more beefy and 'fat'. I'm sure alot of the compliments I've got are based on the wheels giving it that wider stance and enhancing the look of the rest of the car while distracting you from the inperfections. Its a matter of taste and opinion I suppose, I agree the OE wheels are part of the package that made the C so good in the first place, but I dont find them as aesthetically pleasing as a nice set of 17's. I know by putting big heavy wheels on i've lost some of what the corrado is about, but it doesnt get pushed that hard in its daily life, so the finer points of the handling become a little reduntant. Plus i'm a tart and like sparkly things. :)

    wheel offset

nice wheels! you can get hubcentric spacers that center themselves on the hubs, not idea how much they are or where from but theres no way in the world i would have run my car over 80 with the normal spacers i had on, deffinalty not 160!!
  16. 140's a good speed from a valver! must've been very well looked after, nice one! Wish I could've afforded a C at 18, could only just manage the insurance at 24! how much is it costing you out of interest?
  17. maybe the * represtents the sun and its warning you to put your shades on... in which case of course its perminantly on! you're in a corrado ;)
  18. could be the filter, the only real way to know is to have a look and change it. The only really expensive parts of what's been suggested so far are the leads and the fuel pump, try the little things first and see what happens. As chubby brown said, the dizzy cap and rotor arm are cheap as chips, so you might as well do them, and have beans for tea :)
  19. hehe i was going to comment on the song choice too! Whats satalite radio when its at home? is it the same as our DAB?
  20. any whining from the fuel pump? just thinking it could be that on its way out and giving up the ghost when its being pushed?

    ET ?

I'd agree with the rolled arches description dinkus, but I think when he says 'pulled' hes talking about flaring them out like PhatVR6's and every C at worthersee  I'm not entirely sure whats invloved in flairing but its more complex than rolling, and the general consensus is if you're even going to get the arches flaired DONT roll them in the interim cos it makes things harder/more costly later on.
  22. hello mate, welcome to the forum! If you've not changed your leads yet then I'd do that along with the dizzy cap and rotor arm, something I firmly believe all new 16v owners should do as a matter of course as it only costs £70 tops can make a massive difference. I'd get it serviced (or service it yourself?) and see how its running after that. At least that way you'll have ruled out servicable parts and the common leads/dizzy/arm problems.

    wheel offset

35mm on g60's and valvers, 38-40mm on vr6's. Yeah a spacer would convert and ET42 to ET35, but they're not really an ideal solution as they're hard to get in the right place and unballance the wheel somewhat. I ran 3mm spacers on the front for a while and even 3mm of light metal, slightly off center, made the wheels wobble like mad. By the way, your links not working!
