Might come to that  looked for Recaro spares from the uk dealers etc.. Much use as a chocolate tea pot But http://www.capitalseating.co.uk/productlist.asp?type=s&view=range&rid=61&mid=2 seem cheap for everything else that i dont need :) ---------- Post added at 10:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:03 PM ---------- Top man, i will ring stealers tuesday if i have no luck. Can anyone confirm this about being the same as std seats - sorry to double question it but my local stealers got rid of the knowledgeable guys and replaced them with the numpties.. -

Hey Neal With the mounting frame removed this is visable Holds the fabric diaphragm to the seat base frame Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Lol it certainly looks like it from the angle of that pic, its just torn and opened up - probably from getting damp / mouldy. Trouble with that is it has allowed the leather to sag and crease worse than it would normally, im hoping i can replace the side pieces and with alot of conditioning i can tighten the leather like a drum.. probably wishfull thinking on my part though lol

Have you had to replace the fabric on the centre backs of any of your recaro's? Im tempted to try and get it replaced with leather aswell so its more durable.

Good point , messaged him. Thanks -
Hey mate how did you get on bonding the windscreen trim? No plans to dye them at the moment, the black is still pretty rich and set against the bordeaux shell i think it will look good. My plan is to replace the fabric material on the backs of the center front seat pannels, i have a few tears behind them -pretty crude way of holding the fabric to the foams really. The usual cracking to filler / love on the bolsters, then cleaning and condition them. Im impressed to the quality of vw leather, much better to work with compared to any of the seats ive repaired at work.

Anyone know if you can get the metal wire clips for the seat base on Recaro's Alternatively anyone with some spare?? Previously i have welded them back together to get me out of trouble but a few of them are past that idea.. Paul Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Decided on starting the strip down today, not too bad a job as they go. The only annoyance is vw run there looms through the seat frame making it more arkward.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks to Neal (87 jetta 16v) for the Recaro leather interior. A pleasure to deal with again and a top bloke, expecially as he drove two thirds of the distance to meet me.. :thumbleft: Paul

Just make sure you wear gloves because it really does stick like **** to a blanket.. Pannel wipe / pre paint is the best stuff to wipe off the excess, just dont leave it more than about half an hr to wipe the excess off or ul have your work cut out :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey I wasn't planning on selling the boss at the moment in truth, incase another wheel takes my eye in the future. The only reason im selling the wheel is since reshelling / rebuilding im loving the look / feel of the standard wheel again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
The arrow is pointing to a small crack where someone attempted to remove the stereo Other than this is has small markings around the stereo area from muppets removing / fitting them. Missing one of the fixings to mount heater controls Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I do Yes, just a standard momo boss -
I would go with standard bushes. When i renewed my rear axle bushes i went with powerflex, although there a piece of pee to fit the ride is not as nice. Driving on b roads giving it the beans the car doesn't flow around the corners as smoothly and almost feels like the back end digs in /wants to step out instead of cornering on rails.. In the not too distant future i will be going back to standard bushes. Paul
