  1. Jom -10mm lowering caps for a VR6, what would happen if I fitted these to a late valver? nick
  2. I have to say though the end product looked pretty cool for a renault, sounded alright too! nick

    Tyre Pressure

Quite a good tyre, i've got them too and yep they just dont wear at all! In fact i've got two spare which i might just flog on. Not at all bad for a budget tyre. Until it rains! mine seem to have zero grip in anything other than completely dry conditions. If I want grip in the wet I need to constantly spin them up at junctions to get them hot and I can't do that for the rears so that causes a few probems to! Nick
  5. The rims look great but I agree the profile and stretch are just a bit to much, it looks like all the tyres are flat. But if you like it what else matters? It is after all your car. Will look much better without those side skirts  Nick
  6. Have you actually checked the oil pressure? Nick
  7. If you've got a 9a you can't do this, what he's saying is right but it only applies to KR lumps. On top of what he says you need to disconnect something on the coil that stops the idel doing somethng else and you need to block off the breather going into the inlet pipe work. Frankly cocking about with your micture without knowing what you're doing is a very bad idea. Take it to a pro to set up, it's much cheaper than melted pistons becuase you were running too lean. Nick
  8. I have the same problem, the undertray on the passenger side is soaking wet after being left out in hard rain. SHould these things have a plastic cover in the scuttle area like the golfs did? Nick
  9. Difficult to tell from the pics but if that's a non sunroof model get it home and then worry the legal side! Nick
  10. Cheers guys. Junkie: That last shot handheld or done using a rig? Either way I like it a lot! Nick
  11. Nice one guys, cheers. 2nd question. Does the track width of the VR6 and the late 2.0 16v differ or are they the same? Nick
  12. That's sorted then, nice one :-) Nick
  13. OK I'm thinking I may want to do this on my 94 valver. I've read the thrad but I want to be sure I've got this right. To convert to 5 stud I need to use: 2 x VR6 hubs 2 x VR6 Outer CV Joints 2 x VR6 Wheel bearings 2 x VR6 Bearings 2 x VR6 rear discs 20 x VR6 Wheel bolts That right? Disc drilling to 5 stud. Do I have to do this or are Golf MKIII Gti discs the right size and stud pattern already? Nick
  14. I'm looking at options for new rimmage and I'm not sure how these will sit in the arches, anyone got any pics? Nick
  15. Done! You want me to pick em up to get them out of your way or you happy to hang on till next months SoVAG if your going? Nick
  16. How much you want for the skirts? Nick

    Tyre Pressure

Tyre wear, what's that? My LingLongs are made of the hardest substance in the known universe!
  18. Just done some wikipedia- ing. Never realised they did a 2.9 VR 4 mo, I always thought the .:R32 was the only V6 MKIV golf. That said my golf knowledge does tail off sharply after the MKIII! NIck
  19. so they did a 24v V6 4 mo that wasn't an .:R32? I'm confused! If it's .:R32 or 156 it's gotta be .:R32 all day long! Nick
  20. You should always check the gaps on your plugs as they can get damaged in transit. Nick
  21. You got agreed value with your insurer? It's boderline I would have said. Nick

    Tyre Pressure

what about for a 2.0 16v running 205/40 17's? I figured that OEM value wouldn't be right for them but been doing that anyway due to a lack of any other ideas! Nick
  23. Ha ha cheers, pity he's not doing so well this year. Nick

    'hanging' revs

I don't think you can get the switch from anywhere other than people breaking Rados. Nick
