    36. The 'light' had been on 20 miles though. Living in the middle of nowhere is rubbish if you were day dreaming when you went past the last (hugely overpriced) petrol station.

    Shows that a 24v can do the miles. Not bad for a single tank of normal driving.

    We've had our 170GT since new in 2006 (one of the first in the country) and it's been spot on. Never an advisory, never a problem with the DPF and it does 54mpg without driving it like a granny. It's not a high miler either. It only ticked over 62k last week. Only fault was the injectors which were covered under warranty. You can't believe all the negative press out there, people only report problems and not that their car is working perfectly normally.

    Who did the storm in the car park near the porsche stand belong to then? Didn't see much of the hillclimb but did get around the rest of the stands. Hillclimb and rally stages tomorrow.

    Recent events include changing a 9k old bearing as the old one was eating itself to pieces, fixing the clutch switch and replacing the brake light switch which decided it wanted to die just when I wanted to go for a drive the other day! All good now though but the way it has been behaving recently, there is bound to be another problem on the horizon!

    Ah so you're the other person on the station with a Corrado! I've got an aqua blue 24v. It doesn't go on too often as I cycle on most days.

    I agree, guy on his own is great. But only when he is talking about welding or something else that gets him going. Cars? Not really what you associate him with.

    My adaptions are a bit either side of zero. Are the lambdas both genuine or similar age? Is there a significant difference in exhaust temp?

    I'll do you a swap Dave. I've got an old one that's OK but maybe passed it's best and not show standard that's for sure but you can have it for nothing if you fancy sending me out one of your bonnet cable brackets once you've figured something out in return?

    You only get the pro kit for the Corrado but Eibach have some dodgy batches knocking about that means the back sits about 60mm lower instead of the normal 25mm. I've got a set like this that I've spent the last 2 months trying to sort out. Eibach won't be getting anymore of my business based on how poor their customer service has been. But that's a rant for another day.
