What did you loose points on? I have pretty much no idea on what kind of detail they judge to.

To me that statement says, I'm currently using size 9 feet but I want to cut them off at the ankles because I want to wear size 10 shoes. Why ditch the abs?

Corrado Black Heated Leather Front Seats Only - No Longer Available

I don't know if that is good or bad Dave but at least your car stays in one piece! -
The world just seems to be full of chancers!

It's car speak Wayne.
-
Blue one is better. More robust. It's at the top of the system Wayne, Unbolt the old one, swap the hoses over and refill any that is lost in the process.

Not important really. My 24v downpipe doesn't have one and all is ok. Just make sure that anything close is protected. I am personally not a fan of wrapping exhausts. If oil drips onto them you have the beginnings of a recipe for a nice engine bay fire. That's just me though. If you are still concerned, get it ceramic coated. That's amazing technology!

New bottle. It's only going to get worse.

I've got c5 on my wheels and it's amazing. I've never known wheels be so very easy to clean and look fantastic afterwards. It's quite labour intensive to apply C5 but definitely worth the effort. T1 on the other hand couldn't be any easier to apply.

Stainless Steel Replacement Hood Cable Horns!!

I'm in no rush bourbon. It's simply a case of forward planning after I had a stuck bonnet over the weekend. -
That looks fantastic! Where did you get the radiator?
-
Gtechniq T1 here too. Lasts more than 5 minutes, doesn't splatter up the side of the car and doesn't look false. £12 or so a bottle and I'm sure you'll get a year out of that quite easily. A single application still looks good 3 weeks later.

Are these still sold? -
I'll have yours Jim next time we are in the same place?
-
They are cheap from VW and they'll be brand new genuine with a warranty.

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...

He's right, you'd need to upgrade to Teves 20 to loose that position sensor and from then you are free to use pretty much any 9 inch servo you want. I've got a mk4 servo fitted to mine.

The vacuum pressure is total and all the venturi would do is to increase the initial fill time. The vacuum only runs at the same pressure as the engine can output. On diesels you get a vacuum pump as you don't get any vacuum on a diesel. If you had more vacuum in the servo, it would overwhelm the spring holding the internal diaphragm shut. The only way you can increase servo assistance is to have a servo with a larger internal capacity.
-
I'd forgotten that you need the position sensor on the servo for the abs. I ditched all that in favour of the teves20 stuff a while ago.
-
In the Corrado? If so the engine is the vacuum pump so provides all the vacuum you need.

Green Corrado in Peterborough this evening about 6pm. I was coming out of the Waitrose car park near the train station when the wife spotted you first! I was busy watching the traffic so didn't spot you initially but her gleeful screech alerted me of the presence of another Corrado! Looked good in the evening sun.

You can fit the 24mm version from the mk4 but then you'd ideally need a larger servo to overcome the reduction in braking power. Sounds weird but a bigger master cylinder delivers less brake line pressure for the same brake pedal force.

I know they are not a real drivers tyre but I really like my Rainsport 3's. They are wearing very well after 7k or so and I've not found a road that makes them struggle unless I'm driving faster than I should be on a public road. They are also really good in the rain. Surprising given their name! A good all round, all weather tyre. I wouldn't choose them if I was a track day driver though, the sidewall is a bit soft.

Show and shine on Sunday mic....!

Well it is full of brake fluid. Get a syringe and a bit of pipe and you should be able to get most of it out and save the paint work. There is a filter in the neck of the reservoir and you'll need some needle nose pliers to pull it out. They are in there quite well too! I'm dubious as to how effective strut braces are and I'm more convinced it's a placebo effect. Look smart, but I'd be more concerned in the flex going through the sub frame seeing as that is where all the road forces originate. A nice big brace across its legs is bound to be better than across the top of 2 strut tops that are fairly close to a bulkhead. That's just me though.
