  1. What's the problem though- if it's stupidly overpriced then it won't sell and they've wasted their time and listing fee. If they are worth that then they are getting what the parts are worth- I guess you can't blame them for that.
  2. I never thought I'd see the day! Hope it's gone to a good home. Are you corrado-less now or do you still have another one?
  3. If you're VERY careful then you can remove these and re-use them. You will need some kind of a splint to stop it curling up while you transfer it!
  4. http://www.everycarcovered.com/1390-...988-1995-coupe This has come up a few times and I can highly reccommend the all year one from this company. It's a lot more than all the others but is worth every penny in my opinion. Durable, easy to strap down and fits really well.
  5. I've had a DAB in both my Corrados and love it. The reception can be patchy in the sticks, so it's worth getting one with a booster. I keep it all tucked away in the glove box and have the booster wired to the glove box light. If you don't like the look of one stuck permanently on the windscreen, you can get them with little suckers on (like a sat nav) and then just take them down when your out of the car (or want it looking standard at shows!)
  6. I was born in the midlands but all my family are Liverpool/Wirral, and I went to uni there too. Purple Aki seemed fitting as the car is powerful, purple, and makes grown men cry!
  7. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350935663873?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 I got one of these a while ago and have been really impressed with it. I can go for a few weeks without using the Corrado so the battery is often flat. It's also not that easy to get another car near it as it's often parked in a corner. I've only charged it once and used it for the compressor a fair bit, jumped the VRT twice and used the inverter and it's still almost fully charged. Anyone got anything similar?
  8. It's been ages since I posted on here at all so I thought I'd stick a few pics up from this year. It's all been fairly smooth motoring since the gearbox change. No major changes, although I've fixed a few small things outside and in- New headlight switch, made a new gauge holder for the AFR, boost and EGT gauges (and had to rewire them all to fit it!), and lots of fresh new bits on the outside. I had it on the 1/4 mile at bug jam and got down to sub 14 seconds which I was pretty happy with for the boost it was running. It was my first time on a drag strip so I never quite mastered the launch so looking forward to doing it again! I also had it on a mini sprint track at Curborough which was an awesome day. It was a lot more suited to the the lighweight NA cars to be honest and I only got out of second gear for a few seconds! There were couple of things I would like to sort out before another track day. The oil temperature was running very high so I might look at relocating it- it just doesn't get enough air where it is at the moment. I also thought the rear suspension felt a bit too soft. The fronts are damper and height adjustable whereas the rears are only height adjustable, so I think I want to get fully adjustable for the rear too. If anyone has any reccomendations them I'm all ears?? Other than that it didn't miss a beat and apparently made a lot of nice noises tearing round the track!
  9. Sorry, I have to drop out of this now, will take myself off the CCGB website list too. Jake- unless you're heading up my way any time between now and November, is there any chance you could post the ice axes back?
  10. I've posted this before! Well spotted though, its only a split second.
  11. Great show- I chatted to Oz for ages, then had a look round with Isla, met up with two different sets of friends and then got back to the club stand and realised I had to go! Managed to have a brief chat with a couple of you but very impressed with the cars on show. Having my bonnet open next to Dave's car showed my lack of engine bay cleaning up a bit :)
  12. Do we need to be there by a certain time for the stand? Anyone want to convoy up from the Shropshire area? Apologies if I've missed the info on another thread, I haven't been about on here much for a while!
  13. I would have thought this as well, seems like too much hassle when the syncro stuff matches up so well. The only downside is I guess the syncro prop and diff are not as strong as the Haldex? I'm guessing you discussed it already at Stanford, but JMR are developing some bespoke Corrado AWD stuff at the moment which might be useful.
  14. green Vr with a broken brake light on Abbey Foregate in Shrewsbury yesterday
  15. Is the red VRT still for sale on e38? That's a beauty, and would save you thousands compared to having it all done to yours. Just a thought!
  16. Best show I've been to for a while and lovely weather (shame about the dust storm next to our stand though!) The convoy was good fun in the morning, too bad we got split up from JMR as I fancied a bit of a comparison! His future 4wd project sounds very interesting. Apologies for missing the goings on at 1pm, I didn't know there was anything planned and we were off playing with the rescued parrots on the other side of the show! I did get some remaining cake though which was lovely!
  17. I will be heading up from East finchley on Sunday so will do my best to join the convoy from jnct 9 services :)
  18. I've barely been posting on here too recently, but still very much enjoying the car. I was really pleased with the photo shoot, and your right- Corrados from the side look amazing! I will be at a few shows- Stanford, Tatton Park and going to Bug Jam with some mates (including the owner of my old G60), so will give the Ribena Beast a few blasts on the 1/4 mile strip :) Not really Corrado related but I am getting to as many of the Cosford Breakfast Club meets as I can seeing as they so local. Hopefully see you somewhere over summer!
  19. So long as you still love it, I guess you just have to keep going. Remember that there's nothing quite like a shiny, functioning blackberry rado on your drive when it's done!
  20. Sorry I'm a bit late! I'm in for Stanford too. I've register on ccgb.
  21. I saw this at ultimate dubs at the weekend! I believe we were the only 2 blackberry rados there! Interesting wheels.
