  1. I enjoyed it mostly, although I agree with a lot of the comments on here. There seemed to be fewer Corrados than ever and I've never seemed so many Rallyes! I didn't think there were that many in the UK! It seemed that were far more new cars than old stuff, standard or modified, which I thought was a shame. The Quattro and S2 in the small room were my favourites, as it was nice to see something built for a purpose rather than just for people to coo about how low it is. I guess car modifying would be boring if everyone liked the same thing so to each their own. I still don't understand the queues in the morning. It's not a huge show, and after a few hours there you will have seen everything. Those who turned up at 11 and onwards seemed to avoid traffic jams (although couldn't park in the main car parks admittedly) and then walked straight up to pay at the desk. I had to be there early as I was on the clubs bit outside, but why does everyone else flock in at 9am to sit in jams?!
  2. I remember that Rocco from a few years ago Eric, I'll keep an eye out for you
  3. Just seen a blackberry on the a49 in shrewsbury, and I was in mine! Got a flash and a wave.
  4. Cheers for the offer, I'll stick with the current plan to save messing people around. Having to drop the car off on Saturday night would be a bit of a pain too! See you on Sunday.
  5. Damn! Should have got in with you lot! Hope it isn't pouring.
  6. Anyone else going to this on Sunday? I will be outside on the Dubshire stand.
  7. Haha ye I realised it might be a missus quote after I posted it. Blackberry seems to go down well with the ladies for some reason though. We have an aubergine/purple theme in the living room, so I have been given permission to have an arty picture of the Corrado up in there to match it all! Result!
  8. I tried this once and got a ban
  9. It's a Blackberry- calling them purple tends to upset the purists! And my mate says mine is pink to wind me up... That looks in good nick, welcome to Corrado ownership.
  10. Zombie Thread !!! Just wondered if anyone had this or something similar?- the links on here are dead now ---------- Post added at 6:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:28 PM ---------- Just found it- it's here if anyone else wants it: http://www.xnology.com/
  11. Some very talented chaps did a mini photoshoot for my car last night, here are the results: http://www.flickr.com/photos/46109941@N08/
  12. It depends on where it's from. I think G-werks just referred to different stages of porting- with satdge 5 the most heavily ported charger. If it's been ported then you obviously can't return to standard, but you probably wouldn't want to as it flows more air!

    Car covers

You might be right about letting the weather on it but I always get annoyed when I give it a wash and polish, only for the rain to drop a load of dust on it the day after! Not to mention the bird poo. I got this last year and I'm well impressed, even though it costs a fair bit. The fit is perfect: http://www.everycarcovered.com/138-all-year-protection/71-all-year-protection-car-cover.html
  14. No problem. Have a look at this about how to use them: I hear most of the snow has gone from up there in the last few days so you may get to the top without using the axes or the crampons! Better to be safe than sorry though.
  15. Posted today so should be with you soon
  16. Ye that's fine, I won't need them again till next winter anyway. Are you going to Ultimate Dubs in March? Don't worry if not, I'm sure we'll see each other at one later in the year- you'll have to come back out in the vrt now the 6 speed box is in! PM me your address
  17. The cafe is shut in the winter, or at least it was last time I went up, so take plenty of food. There are some cool Ravens at the top that you can share your sanwiches with too!
  18. What date are you going? I have a couple I could post to you if you want them and can give me them back over the summer at whichever show we both get to! To be honest, the crampons are the most important bit, they should stop you from needing the ice axe! We did have a practice with the ice axes near the bottom on a steep slope, and it's amazing how quickly you accelerate on hard snow once you go onto your back!
  19. I have done it a number of times including in the deep snow. The ranger track is the safest although quite a sharp climb in a short time. As Jim says, take the right kit. At this time of year, an ice axe and crampons are essential. The ice axe isn't used for climbing but to arrest if you fall.
  20. I will be heading over with the local VW club, would be great to see a few more Corrados! Here's the link to the facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/MidlandsBreakfastClub?fref=ts Looks like there will be some amazing cars there.
  21. Thanks mate, I had a copy delivered to the new address :)
  22. Gutted I've agreed to go to bugjam with a load of mates on the same weekend as the anniversary at Castle Combe! I know it's a way off but will there be a club stand at Tatton as I can definately make that?
  23. Alice Cooper to headline on Thursday night this year! That's... unexpected.
  24. If the Lupo ones are that much then go for the TT wipers- they are around £100 I think
