  10. bah my splitter is about that low and its just a tad broken, keep it how it is just watch your sump, im on my 2nd, correct me if im wrong but your splitter isnt realy that low either as its parked on a slope with the splitter above the flat?
  11. looks about the same height as mine and my FKs also took some serious time and WD usage to wind them down, looks smart mate
  12. its been a while so i now have some updates, since last posting i have wound the coilovers all the way down, bought and painted my new wheels, polly bushed the front end and fitted new droplinks so there has been plenty going on, anyway i will let the pics speak for themselves as usual any comments would be welcome
  13. ok thanks peeps, looks like i have some serious saving to be doing!
  14. what big brakes will fit under 16" wheels, hubs are 4 stud so i know im limited
  15. if the lines are the same on a vr as on a valver i had a problem with the lines between pump filter and accumultor, the pipes are copper ends with plastic bonded midway (i presume this is to allow flex) i had a huge leek on mine and found it to be that the bond had broken on the pipe. fresh pipes fitted and probem solved, if it is the problem i would change both pipes as a precaution but be prpared for the two sections i paid £70 from the dealer if it is the same im talking about parts 13 and 14 rob
  16. can anyone tell me where the ignition module is located on a 8v rado, im unsure of the year of the car as im asking for a mate but any help would be appreciated and diagrams and pics would earn you brownie points  cheers rob
  17. does anyone have a walkthrough guide on changing the timing belt on a 9a as i need to do mine, also are any special tool required, thanks rob
  18. 50p or so, my car is no where near the standard of most on here,
  19. mine was awful on the drive down to lees to pick up a wheel for a sportka of all things but hell cant complain, its just nice to get some good weather, i cycle my daily commute so the weather is sweet, bring on the 7am ride home chasing rabbits over the feilds :-)
  20. my car must be a bit of an oddball, windown power down with ignition but everything else stays powered up, radio must be wired backwards as the only way to turn that off is to remove the frot, saying that my car has some serious electrical gremilins that mean i loose all power to speedo, rev counter and backlights for both if i put the headlights on and with the headlights off both my oil and water tems go crazy so i would ignore anything electrical i talk about
  21. ok thanks mate, plenty for me to think about there, im on the hunt for power but i realy like the way a N/A engine provides it power over turbos.
  22. thanks mate, very good definition, have been looking at a few websites and people are saying around £550 for a head port on a 4pot engine, will a new exhaust manifold etc also help with the gains involved alongside cams
  23. also how does skiming the head i.e. increasing compression improve performance on N/A cars?
