  1. So dropped my car off with my trusted local motor engineer to get the new corrado through its test last Tuesday but due to him having a nightmare with a rav-4 the red beauty didn't get to go for her test until Friday afternoon, she failed on horn, CV boot & all brake lines so I'm withouth her all weekend......should have her through the test Monday afternoon once the lines and bits are sorted. Is anyone else as pathetic as me and misses their car when it's off the road or is it the fact I'm using my 1.7Dti astravan every day and the 118d cabby on the odd occasion? I even caved and out some flat pack up today!! Rob
  2. Car failed MOT on horn and corroded brake lines :-( work and reset hopefully on Monday.......
  3. lol the silver one can be made if the cover falls off a normal karman one without the wheel, trus me mine fell off ;-)
  4. solved this a while back with a headlight switch of all things :-)
  5. Dropped the red rado off at the garage for a few bits and bobs to be done, I usually do everything by myself but only have a week till mot time and I just don't have the time to sort it....... Benjevw random but my car is a brother of yours K100 VRG!
  6. This is going to sound mental but for my quest for a super oem looking machine I want a stock head unit to sit in the dash......anyone got one lying about?
  7. Thanks for that mate.....fairly pricey but a good option
  8. Would prefer 90mm but if there is nothing about would go for a 50mm Must be undamaged! I know this is likely a hard thing to find but if there is anything out there let me know [email protected] Cheers
  9. rears have been rubbed down to delete the texture and clear lacquered to keep them as OEM as possible mate
  10. lol danny yes you have found the two little niggles that i need to sort................ splitter will be ordered soon as will a new aerial base as its a base for a stupid bee sting.......... 11. yeah i bought the car off a forum member shaunVR6 so thats possibly how you think its familiar....... indeed i love corrados on tt mini comps
  12. Collected this little beauty on Friday night (Thanks to shaunVR6 off here and lilfuzzer for putting me in touch with him) and had a marathon session with the polish and wax on saturday, This car is one of the best corrados i have ever seen, rust free shell, perfect motor, everything works and it drives like a new car so im totaly over the moon with her and the private plate he seller left on the car for me. She is a 1993 VR6 so doing well to be this good! I have the standard rear lights ready to go back on her once they have been lacqured as all of the dimples and marks have been rubbed down. I will let the pics say the rest, no plans for changes till the winter when she will be off the road and into the garage to come out next summer as a concourse car. Enjoy

Im looking to buy another corrado as a project but before i dive in and buy a vr6 im trying to track down my onld 9A 16v, Its a Aqua pearl 9A 16v with colour coded aez paron 16" wheels with machined lips, the plate is M101 FRG, when i sold it the body was imaculate as was the interior any info would be appreciated http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?43255-recent-pics-of-my-valver-now-started-summer-show-tidyup/page5&highlight=timthetinyhorse cheers
  14. Would you consider selling the mims...... car looks fresh on the d90s but cant help thinking it could be a tad lower, did u wind the coils up to fit? super clean motor though mate, hope i get my aqua to that standard at some point
  15. well today i finaly managed to get the rear plate recess on (all be it a complete failure) and as im working nights up uintill elsecar i decided to get her at least clean before the drive down so i can finish the job on arrival........who knos how im going to maintain the cleanliness when where i work leaves her thick of dust every day, anyway here are a few pics of the car finaly clean
  16. makes the back end look way slicker and as you say the rear wipers are a waste of time much like the front!
  17. well its been a while since i did any updating on this thread and im ashamed to say iv let the car go a bit over the last few months so after a bit of thinking decided to do some work over the past few days, ordered tint spray for the front indicators and fogs that obviously as per the norm for ebay still hasnt arrived and started to do some gloss black details and remove the rear wiper, so managed to get the scuttle painted in gloss and do my wipers satin black to contrast against it and then remove the rear wiper all with great success then repaired my splitter in true motor sport fassion with a bundle of cable ties......on the motorsport theme i decided to tape my headlights, im still unsure of the look but you can judge for yourself but then today came time to spray the plate recess and oh my lord what a fail, after spending a houtr making sure it was sanded down well and thoutoughly degreased i started to paint, two coats of primer all going well, two coats of paint and were still rocking uintill allass a gust of rind carried it off into the distant bushes and destroyed the finish so the car now looks like a crock with no recess, oh well lookis like a full day of rubbing down for me :epicfail: anyway here are some pics. feedbacle please :-) note i know its dirty
