I seem to remember KW coilovers being slightly more than £550...

Hi all, Yes, another coilover thread! I'm getting sick of seeing my VR on standard suspension it really does the car no favours at all! Especially at the rear it looks as if you could fit a loaf of bread between the arch and tyre :( So i'm looking to spend £550 max on a set of coilovers and would be very interested to hear some recommendations! At the moment the car is rolling on some 17" BBS LM reps, incase you were wondering :wink: Cheers.

Good thread! This is my red Corrado, i bought it from toohot in Scotland and drove it back to London, took 11 hours!! I keep on meaning to start a journal, i think when i've got it lowered i'll start one...

I have a problem similar to this sometimes, but it only happens under 2000rpm. I'll put my foot down to accelerate but the power isn't smooth untill above 2000rpm and then it revs cleanly through the range as it should. It could be my imagination but it seems to get better if i put premium fuel in it.

looking back at the service history it's had 00/40 in the past so i'll go for that kinda vibe... Cheers.

Hi, I need to change the oil in my C as it's running a bit low and im not sure what oil is in it at the moment. Soooo, in the experience of VR6 owners whats the best weight and brand of engine oil? Ive done a few oil changes before on my old cars so am pretty familiar with what needs doing however if anybody has got any tips on changing the oil on a VR6 motor let me know 8) Cheers!

Evening all, I've discovered this dirty great leak under my bonnet (95 VR6) and suspect it to be a shot engine mount. Does anyone have any ideas? Also how much might it cost to put right? Cheers (I plan to get some good photos of my car and start a journal tomorrow!)

Got one this morning walking from my car to the trainstation, a bloke told me he loves my Scirocco so i told him thanks but it's actually a Corrado, he goes aaah it's a Colorradione (or some other very innaccurate version/pronounciation of Corrado) and went on to tell me about the Triumph Herald? he once had!

I've not had my C for 2 weeks yet, but it gets plenty of attention being flash red on BBS LM reps polished lips (it's still riding on standard suspension though which is embarassing!). Best chuftie to date was in the carpark of a local pub on Sunday, chatting to a mate when an old guy comes over and starts talking about the C saying he hasn't seen one 'looking this pretty' in years! I showed him the electric leather recaros but he wasn't really interested, he said they probably weight too much and i should strip the motors out of them!

Top Corrado there mate, it looks really good. Why did you take the leather recaros out for cloth ones, have you sold the leather ones?

That's looking alot better, i didn't think i'd like the chrome lights and badgeless grille but it works, the rear looks alot fresher too. If i were you i'd invest in some new indicators and fogs to freshen the front up further. Nice car.

I have got a similar problem on my VR except it's temperemental. Most days it's absolutely fine but sometimes when i turn the key first time it doesn't start so i leave it for a second, try again and it starts as usual. I don't know what the problem is.

That's looking lovely mate, i've just aquired a flash red VR6 and am looking to lower it soon and get a few small body work issues sorted, your car is a great inspiration! Cheers.

Hi, I'm relatively new here having bought too hot's flash red Corrado VR6 on Friday, i absolutely love the car! I flew from London to Scotland to buy it and on the way home some debris from a logging truck hit my car and smashed my driver's side indicator! (something else hit my sideskirt further into the journey and made a left a meaty scratch on the sideskirt) :mad2: Unfortuately i didn't get the reg number so i've got to buy a replacement myself. Is anybody here breaking, or have what i need? What kinda price am i looking at for a standard clear indicator? Cheers.
