My quest for the perfect Storm! Now supercharged..
carter711 replied to greasegriff's topic in Members Gallery
Lovely car! Did you have to have any arch work done to fit the 17s? What tyre dimensions are you using? I'm about to lower my car with some old but refurbed 17" ABTs (not sure on offset) but I do know that they are 8.5" wide and will be shod with 205/40 Falkens. Would be interested to hear if you have any rubbing issues! -
It could be the HT leads, have they been changed, if so when?
-
My next big one is 130,000. I remember when I passed my test at 17 I thought any car that had over 100,000 miles was ready for the scrap heap

Cheers for the advice mate, I've just ordered the best coilovers for the money from G-werks at the best price. Weitec Hicon GTs for £390 inc. VAT+P&P!
-
Looks good! Certainy an individual look. Have you got spacers on the wheels?
-
Very nice :D Did you buy it from Merstham, Surrey? I'm sure I recognise it.
-
Sweet, will give them a call in the morning. cheers! :)

I'm actually in a position to properly lower my car(!) and have decided that the best I can do with my budget is Buy Weitec Hicon GTs after realising that APs are £360 after VAT. I've got a copy of PVW infront on me with a KW advert that has Hicon GTs advertised at £390.39 inc.VAT but the website says nothing of it. Does anyone know where this deal is available please? Cheers.

I would help if you used paragraghs buddy!
-
what car is it then :confused4:

Good to see you are taking proper care of your engine! How much will it cost do you rekon? I know that there's a company that fits a reconditioned VR^engine for £2000 exchange.
-
Lovely interior, I have the same in my VR6 and yes they are heated. Which is nice!
-
Even more reason to keep my car forever then, avoid the £80 fee!

Yo, I took my Corrado badge off the otherday to give it a good clean but when it popped off nearly all of the grommets decomposed so I need to source a few. Wheres the best place to get these little things from, or has anyone found anything that works just as good? Chars!

I've got a set of BBS LM reps but went over a huge pothole a while ago and cracked one of them. I'd like to look into buying one wheel so I've got a good set again. I've tried google but came up with nothing. Any ideas?

That is looking awesome mate, how wide are the wheels?

That's a great guide and has given me the confidence to fix mine that went only last week! MIne is a VR. Do you know the part number for the bulbs please? Thanks again, a great contribution! :) -
Looks much better! Which coileys did you go for?
-
I'd be interested to hear about this as my offside front is going.
-
Are you sure the LMs are 7.5"? Wouldn't 205s bulge over the edge of the wheels?
-
Oh my boner. Awesome Corrado!!
-
Some serious excess tyre on those venoms!!

It says on that site that the £8.90 ones are 'original' and the £7.20 ones are 'OE spec' so am I right in thinking that the originals are genuine items and the OE spec ones are copies?
-
I think this is down to opinion but I do know what you are saying, the front of a Corrado can look a little bit ugly sometimes. Someone put a Mk4 golf front on a Corrado once and it looked ok. :| I think you can make the front look good by keeping the grille 'oiled' so it doesn't look faded, use a black VW badge and keep the model badge on the side as per OEM. I'm going to get some smoked headlight covers on mine so the silvery looking headlights don't stick out so much, I'll be happy with the front of mine then.
