Just been doing some research into topmounts as I want to replace mine when I change my suspension for coilovers. On http://www.car-partsonline.co.uk they have Original topmounts priced at £8.90ea. http://www.car-partsonline.co.uk/Result ... 8&command= I'm sure i read on here they are £25ea? Is this right?

It sounds like the air intake has worked loose? if this has happened, too much air will be entering the engine and the ECU will be getting very confused and probably feeling a bit Ill! Whatever the hose is, it needs to be reconnected!!

Refurb them! I'm doing my ABTs at the moment takes a while but satisfying job and you are left with a brand new looking set of wheels at the end!

I know what you mean, my VR (on 125k) stutters under 2000rpm sometimes but I've traced it to a connection problem on one of the HT leads. I'm going to be servicing it soon so will include new leads and plugs, if the problem is still there it must be the coil pack but I don't think it is. I've found the engine runs better when using optimax or similar.

Yeah that is a nice one lot of work done to it too :norty: I had my eye on that one plus another cheap silver one :) Those recaro's are nice, I love them in leather - especially black :norty:

Bloody hell those seats look good!!

Top marks for the porsche dash conversion plans, 997 dash is so much nicer than the 996 one though! I couldn't even contemplate doing either so hats off to you :D

I had to change the wheels as I hit a mighty pot hole early this year and actually cracked the rim :( :( I managed to find some decent replacements for the time being though, some 17" O.Z ABTs. I got them on Ebay for a very good price. Here's a pic of them with a virtual suspension drop! :D I think I'll be keeping it for a loooong time!

Heya! I'm the guy that bought your old Corrado! Still going strong although a few bits here and there have been replaced/need replacing as you'd expect. Engine still runs and pulls (and sounds) lovely! I've put a private plate on it but still haven't gotten around to lowereing it, should be done before long though. I don't know if I could bring myself to sell it!

I'm liking your car mate, I like the headlights aswell. It has got me thinking about doing the same to my car. I love the E30 aswell, such a good looking car!

That stance/drop looks perfect, Gallerado!

How do you check if a tyre is in date? I know a guy who works for KF and he told me that I was better off going to a different garage to get my alignment/camber cheked as the KF machine isn't that great.

Afternoon fellow Corrado ambassadors. I recently replaced both of the ARB links on the front of my VRsex, but have discovered that the old broken ARB link on the driver's side (UK car) had fouled the outer CV boot clip causing it to become loose and allow grease to be spat all about the inside of the wheel :( I want to get this clip replaced ASAP before the CV joint gets the arse and lands me a big bill!! I'd like to know if its and easy job I can do myself or if any special tools are needed? It looks pretty simple but I've never done one before, I'm teaching myself car maintainence as bits need doing on my car! I'm sure i can get another clip form my local car parts shop but am unsure what I'd be asking for? Otherwise it's a trip to VW, or order a CV Boot kit from the net for about £15. Thanks for reading if you got this far! Any help appreciated :) Cheers.

Need pics I'm afraid mate!! I know what you mean though, I love my Corrado and I can't think of anyhting I'd want to replace it with unless I had £15+grand to spend. I'd rather spend any money that I would be saving for a new car, on my Corrado. I love the looks, handling, power, uniqueness, interior, noise, unpretentiousness, credibility, reliabiltiy, build quality etc etc etc!!

Not getting rid of the 'rado... Well OK I have!

e46 M3's = Chav Mobil! Audi S4's = Understated exec power, but very bland. Corrado wins! -
Awesome! :D

Hi, I am asking very nicely if someone could lower my Corrado so there is a realistic amount of gap between the arch and wheel so not SUPER low, but everyday use kind of low! Also, I'd like to see what it would look like with 'gun metal grey' colour wheels. Your photoshop skills have got to be better than mine, I haven't even got photoshop!

Saw a green Storm on the Godstone Road in Whyteleafe today. N119 ***. Very nice on Solitudes. Gave a flash and got a wave!

Hello, Driving along the other day and heard a horrible 'crunch' from the front wheels. I had a look behind the wheels and discovered that the drivers side anti roll bar linkage had snapped! I've heard that it's best to replace them in pairs so I'm in the market for some new links. I've found a few places online that sells them, genuine VW ones can be had for £25 each but a pattern part is cheaper. At VW spares they are £33.18 inc p&p & VAT At car-partsonline they are £27.31 inc p&p & VAT Is they anywhere else that you would recommend before I buy from car-partsonline? From what I can see it looks like quite a straight forward job to change the link, does anyone have any wise words of wisdom for someone who hasn't changed the link before? Any help appreciated! Cheers.

That car says £700 to me.

The list would be interesting to hear. -
See this is the thing, to pay for a good set of shocks and springs it's worth waiting for a bit and getting a good set of coilovers. I've seen on the back page of the latest PVW KWautomotive are offering Weitec HiconGTs for £390.39 which is a very good price. KW1s are £545.34. What I don't like about 205/50s is the balloon look, and the high price because 205s are alot rarer than 195s. Cheers for the advice!

Hi, I've decided to put my speedlines on for a while, just for a change and cheaper tyre costs. I'm going to put 195/45/15 tyres on them. At the moment I've got a problem with bad tyre wear on my front passenger side wheel (I've got 17" speedlines on atm) so I need to have the wheels re aligned. My car is sitting on standard suspension (I've been meaning to buy Weitec coileys for ages but redundancy got in the way) and looks TERRIBLE for it so I want to lower it before I have the wheels re aligned to save having to do it twice! I want to spend about £250 on some new suspension, coilovers are achievable for this price but from what I've read it's best to buy a spring a dampener kit so that's what I plan to do. There must be a good kit out there for about £250, can anyone recommend me one please? It would be ideal if you run speedlines and can post a pic up of how much the car has been lowered by. Thanks.
