Hey, stumbled onto this thread whilst looking about the place. sorry to hear about your recent bad luck. your vr6 looks mint, nearly got a blackberry a few months ago. Was interested in the comments about back complaints and corrado's seats. I'm about 6'3 and after owning a firm corrado for several years my back/sciatic nerve etc proper packed in, stumping docs and physio's alike to why. (33 yrs young too!) i figured it was the amount of bending under the bonnet and pushing it that did me in but not the driving too that's the best thing. After an opp for me and the car garaged for 3 years but now about to undertake engine transplant etc to bring it back should i be slightly concerned i'm thinking?? it was nice driving 'normal' cars in the meantime but now its calling me back... Hope you get sorted soon. cheers, Andy

hello, got the plinth, however unfortunately the 4 pegs were already missing, the two moveable licence plate screw holders are there as are the bottom lip ones. A previous owner has screwed this back on at some point so two small screw holes are visible either end of plate (see pics) thanks for waiting and sorry if its not what you were after.

what colour speaker covers you after?

sorry thought i'd already sent message about this but mustn't have. if not already got one I have early style L041 black bonnet in very good conditon structally. paintwork is slightly faded though. could just need a decent recovery wax and polish i've not tried or at worst a respray. bonnet is off the car and in Bradford. cheers, Andy. ---------- Post added at 9:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:16 PM ---------- oh also about to put up for sale the 7 slat grille all lugs and clips there and solid in good condition.

will prob have one from an early 16v if they are the same across the range when i get round to removing engine in the next few weeks. do you need it asap?
-
Hi, sorry for delay. real busy at work this week. will try tomorrow for removal and pics. just wondering is it a spoiler+wiper motor out the way job too?
-
presume this is the plastic surround for the plate? if so got one on car still. if i get it off in one piece I'll post a pic if you like. Andy.

i have both sides full manual window winding mechanisms. The handles themselves unfortunately are in light grey but i'm sure other vw handles from this era may fit? also have the early style sliding heater controls just minus the fan switch which went an hour ago sorry! As for shipping costs haven't a clue but I'm sure i could find out. its all still on the car at the moment so would be a couple of days before i have chance to remove package up and weigh in if that's ok?

Hi and welcome, I've done my heater matrix twice now, not a great job but doable with time and light. ps when your done with those wheels, I'd be interested if 4 stud ;-) Andy.

Hi, sorry just seen this so not sure if you've sorted one. Bought my corrado with towbar on as the chap used it for the same thing as you. fitted fine no bumper cutting needed. Comes in sections and looks straight forward so took the protruding half off and the rest is still on my car (never bothered to take it fully off). not too sure about the wiring side of things but its all there. let me know if interested, Andy.

sorry just seen this. I have black bumper in good cond't (still on car), not sure of code but can find out easily if not already sorted one. its on a 1990 16v its the same. I'm in Preston too.

does it have a chequered pattern on it? i have 90/91 grey interior seats. if so can get a pic up at the weekend if interested.
-
Sat in it and considered not breaking and buying another, but starting some dramatic rescue rebuild programme!
-
looking superb, great job done. undecided about the new licence plate position though. will you do mine next???? :)
-
looks great, not many silver ones about. i feel your pain with the heater matrix, mine went twice. a lot of diggin for a 5min swap over. First time slow leak, 2nd.. boom and splatt instant internal fog many flashing lights and a hot foot. when i asked about it app there was a vw recall in the early days due to pressure building up too much in the matrix bursting them, mine missed it hope yours didn't too.
