No one done this or similar then?

Not much left of my donor car now and approaching the stage of removing the rear quarter panels, sills and back panels etc off the car for both use on my own car for others members on here in need. I presume some will have experience of this on here, if so any tips are very much appreciated such as were would you cut up to over the top of the quarter window and things. Is the window pillars worth taking off or leave these to be wieghed in or any other obscure parts? Obviously i need to cut on or near the original weld areas but is there a rule to follow to which side of the weld for best results so cutting one doesn't ruin another or is that inevitable. Just so they can be user friendly for future use and that i don't make a complate hash of it all? Also tools wise whats best, gas axe, stihl saw or anything else etc? Apologies for all questions, just not done this kinda thing before. Cheers Andy

Never been much interested in cream interior, but damn with the DBP colour its a great combo. Looks awesome.

too true, they put it up in a flash but months to get drop it back down. what gets me is the reasons they give for it? Mainly speculation caused it? what? the speculation they probably started. its painful being the average guy with car/house/job being hammered tax wise from every angle. i want to find a way of withholding my contributions and not paying it for a while. *******s.

In the last few weeks I've been cut up, chopped up and witnessed some mental driving skills by most of the supermarkets that offer delivery services. Best of all has been watching them outrun white van man and blatantly block bmw/audi bloke too. These guys drive like their hairs on fire are they on commission? What I've not seen yet is a race between the competition on the road. And it made me wonder, who is the fasted nutter who clearly doesn't give a **** about his employment/employer. Lets get them on a rallycross course!

Must pay more attention.. Well at least I can be glad the one thing I learnt today was corrado related then!

Then make them fit! thought all later spec versions had 5 nuts?

Nice colour, looks good and clean esp in the engine bay. Did the right thing going back to original parts with steering wheel. Speedlines next?

Cheers for that James. But don't mind at all G60radoboi if you want to go to clumpy1 first esp as he has a choice, turns out by the time I'll get up to my donor car again could be a couple of weeks not days after family commitments have suddenly booked me up instead :( Cheers Andy.

When the rado went off the road due to new family member arrival I still wanted something individual, practical but also went too when required. As soon as i drove this it ticked all the boxes straight away. Really great can do car. However I've now downsized to a Bora so needs must and all that. Cheers Andy.

As soon as mine is ready again and on the road i'll try and use it as much as i can , anything more modern bores the hell out of me.

1990 Golf GTI 8v Genuine Big bumper edition £1350 ono. 138k Tornado red. MOT april 2014 Tax till feb 2014 Apart from the alloys and the stereo. This car has been kept totally original throughout Clean interior with no rips or bust bolsters or holes in parcel shelf Engine and gear box are sound, Pulls very well in all gears, no smoking, rattles etc. Its non PAS model so you either love or hate it. The extra feel for the road is good though imo and the car handles just great. Two keys (both the same) for all locks and ignition. Everything works that is electric ie central locking, instruments etc. Manual windows and tilt and slide sunroof. Fitted in last few years: brake pipes/lines all 4 shocks full exhaust discs/pads all round. rear callipers front suspension wings/bushes alternator and Bosch battery! Bad bits, small rust spot on passenger door and again just above rear licence plate. Cheap classic car insurance Not bad at all for 24 yrs old back to basics classic really that's unmolested. Any questions just fire away or if you know anyone who maybe interested, cheers in advance. Andy.

Just a light warning with snow. if parked up in public or road. Kids walking past snow balling each other scratched my paint work loads on the roof once whilst gathering it up. Im sure we've all done it before, but there go.

Are we presuming black or grey dash here?
