  1. Hi Guys, I've searched but i've only found an answer for a vr6 tensioner on a 4motion. Am I going to be able to run a 4 motion tensioner on my VR6? They're the same part number but the 4Motion one has A at the end of it. Surely its just the same part but changed slightly? The tensioner thats on mine has snapped at the part where you release the tension so I was given a 4mo tensioner last night. Also whats the safest way to remove the old one if I can't release tension through the bolt hole? Cheers
  2. Sorry, I meant the actual cable seems to be missing. I know that black block is the switch, just cant find the connector for it or the cables.
  3. I got 4 Schmidt Modernlines for sale with tyres that would sit nicely on this. ;) haha Looking good! Nice one saving it from the scrappies. I'm picking up my old valver this week and not sure if I want to save it and put it back on the road as a daily, or break it and put parts over to the VR6.

  5. Re-listing my Modernlines. Not in a rush to sell so just seeing if theres any interest. 2 Toyo T1-R's and 2 PX4's both with around 6-8mm tread. Very little sidewall damage. Slight stretch on them at 195/45/15's I bought them at £350 with all 4 polished rims heavily pitted, stripped the clear coat off them, re-polished by hand then sealed with poorboys wheel sealant. I didn't treat the kerbing however as I didn't want to damage them further. I also bought all 4 new centre caps for £40 as a couple from the original ones were knackered. With this in mind I'm looking for £400 which I think is a fair price.     I have some that will be coming off the car next week. Theres a bit of an imperfection on the inside of the OS light though.   7. VR6 | Blackberry | Edinburgh Price: £1700 All offers considered Description: Thinking about selling my Corrado VR6. Previously NewbridgeJob on here's Only had the car just over a month and I'm only just getting it how I want it, but having been offered my first Corrado back (this is my 4th) I cant turn it down. Lowered on springs and shocks, Powerflow (i think) backbox, Calibre Vintage wheels (faux splits, the bolts come out) with 4 good tyres, 1 brand new proxy, new Hella Radiator. This car has the winter pack so has grey heated leather interior headlight washers and more importantly, I've just swapped out the heater matrix so you don't need to worry about that! This car has covered 124k. The chains were replaced at around 120k. One of the quietest VR's I've heard. I have 288 brakes (minus discs) sitting here waiting to be fitted. Bad bits: Body work has some dings on it, I have claybarred and polished it since I've had it to remove a lot of imperfections on it and it polishes up nice. Sunroof tilt's and does not slide. Boot lock is temperamental but I've devised a work around for it, should be an easy fix though. The tailgate has rusted pretty badly but it is not visible from outside. only when the boot is open you can see it under the lights. To summarise, this is a belter of a car, mechanically sound but does have some bad bits to the bodywork. This doesn't distract from complete strangers complimenting it on passing and the note of the 6 cylinder is just amazing. Looking for 1700 All offers considered.   8. Cheers Ollie, Been wishing for them since i got it haha. Shopped in the original items last night bored and dropped it a bit. Have this listed for sale though as I might end up putting the valver back on the road if its not too bad after sitting 2 years!
  9. Currently my VR6 doesn't have any alarms or anything fitted to it apart from a defunct scorpion alarm in the dash, unwired. I'm going to be picking up my old Valver (same year, 93, late) which has some form of Clifford installed to it. Will I be able to Swap over the Alarm from the Valver to the VR6 as easy as splicing the wires where they were spliced on the Valver/previously spliced on the Scorpion system? Would the easiest way to remove be following each wire from the clifford controller, labeling where the cable ran to, the colour of the cable its spliced to, then try and put it directly into the VR6 or will it not be as easy as this?   10. Not much going on. Got a nail in one of the tyres so bought a Proxie in the right size for £30 and came on an OZ beezer wheel... so running 3 of a kind til I can get the tyre swapped over. Took some pics of it the other day after a wash because I was in talks of a swap for a G60 but the deal fell though, Not fussed though as I intended on keeping the VR. Got 288 brakes from a mk4 sitting here, Just need the mk3 discs and i'll get them on. Original lights, Grill, Mint fogs and Indicators, working sunroof, Powerflow Exhaust and AP Coilovers coming this weekend once I pick up and start stripping my old Valver.
  11. I never really noticed until I was swapping out my Radiator but I seen my reverse lights switch wasn't connected. I had a good search around the bay for it but couldn't find the connector. At what point to the wires come from so I can trace them, or make up a new plug if I discover they've been cut? And what colour are they? Cheers

  15. My PCV has split so I've decided to just put a breather on it and block off the intake elbow. This pipe was previously going nowhere (i suspect) so can I just block off this vaccum with a bolt in the end of it? It's the pipe thats shaped: _n_ that comes from the throttle body and connects to the top of the PCV.

  18. Hi guys, Looking for the breather pipe that goes from the Rocker to the Throttle inlet. Looks like someone in the past has bodged it back together and its completely sheared off now.   19. Cheers guys. Yeah desperately trying to source some 16's. I used Savage tint, Look at the Wiki in the Exterior section for a step by step guide on what to do. I did that and the result was spot on. I didn't bother pinstriping the lens's though and i'm just getting LED bulbs sorted.
  20. I've just found this thread after trying to read up on what all I need to convert my VR to 288's. My mates getting me MK4 calipers, carriers, hoses(thanks to this thread) discs and pads from the doner 20vt for his mk2 conversion (for £30 cannot complain) But this comment's thrown me. I thought everything would have just been the same but I'd need to space the carriers 6mm to use the discs yeah? Also, I won't need new bolts or anything will I, between my VR brakes and the mk4 items i'll have all the bolts for the conversion? Sorry for the bump.

  23. Wee update. Pressed plates clean up a car so much! Sprayed my lights all-red too apart from the reverse window. Also, picking up my old valver as soon as I get time to go back up north and its getting stripped and all the good parts stolen, along with coilovers :bigthumbs: and I'm also getting rid of those 17's to make way for some 16's.
