  1. My storm has 2 of those plastic clips, one on the rear, one furthest under the scuttle. The nearest the engine has a 10mm nut direct to ground, no plastic or rubber to insulate it. Put a multimeter to the bracket and the neg of the battery, if you have voltage there you may have a short circuit somewhere?

  5. Easy way to check for a spark single handed using a jump lead, the other end is earthed on the block
  6. Bridged it didn't start? Crank it then remove a spark plug to see if it's wet with fuel
  7. So was there clicking with the relay removed and relay plate bridged?
  8. The usual way to do that is a short length of wire with a male spade at each end and a suitable fuse between, remove the relay and plug the wire into the high current (30 and 87?) side of the relay plate replicating the relay. This is just for testing purposes only, not for a journey to work or the shops! Research the relay properly before you bridge the relay plate, don't blame me if the car bursts into flames!

  11. If you have standard rear calliper these should fit, if you have MK4 rears you need the banjo type fitting. In that pic you have one for each calliper and a pair for the axle to body of the car

  13. I cant see why you can't sand then lacquer them as you would all red rears? Plenty of MK1 Ford focus's have had there headlamps flatted and machine polished due to dulling

Do the standard arms have enough pressure to keep the blades on the screen at speed? Group buy for lupo wiper arms and blades? Group buy for conversion blades?

Mann Sachs etc are the specialist suppliers, VW request parts and give dimensions and specs etc, the supplier then sends several differing parts for testing and trial, from there they narrow down and tweek the spec to suit before the contract is made to supply to that spec and quantity. Once after market the OE supplier can supply to a spec they see fit. Don't believe the hype of ECP and GSF with their vague "OE supplier" statements
