No, but you could weld the vin onto another shell, a bit pointless in this case as its already been classed as damaged (as well as rotten) according to the ad

The land mark will be when even a ratty resto project is worth more in one piece than as a breaker
-
The pistons are chrome plated, most by now are rusting and the plating peeling off.

Looks very clean http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-VR6-TORNADO-RED-THE-BEST-AVAILABLE-/191712951330?hash=item2ca2fb7c22 Not mine

These 2 by the one way valve have little rubber condoms on to blank them off
-
I'll post a pic in 15 mins or so

If there's excessive pressure in the coolant system the expansion cap has a spring loaded release valve built in (providing its working) and will dump coolant on the floor
-
Come on people, you don't have to put them on your cars (my cars have silver badges), mine are taking pride of place on my tool boxes.
-
I'll take 2 red please. Would you be able to do the chrome Corrado badges suitable for toolbox lids should the be any interest?

You need to get it up for sale asap, winter (and Xmas) is fast approaching and it will be difficult to sell what is seen by most as a summer car. GLWS:)

I paid £250 for my 240, insurance was £130 for 6k miles PA TPFT
-
Both being 20 years old you can do either on a classic policy, I did it with a Volvo 240 and a 740 when we were renovating the house, cheaper to insure than a van and recycling centre (council run dump) friendly too
-
Transfer your NCB to the new car and insure the Corrado as a classic (NCB not needed), I have a VW T5 and the Corrado insured with Brentacre for around £600

The pump manufacturers would need a similar set up to test the units in the first place, once newer ABS systems are rolled out copies of the emulator would be made available to the aftermarket like BBA who they'd also sell the spares onto.

If you ask most garages they will have heard of BBA Reman, just look at there website and see what they can repair. VW don't make ABS systems, they adapt systems to the cars thy assemble with the help of the manufacturer, that pump is also used in early mk3 golfs with the square side repeaters on the front wings. It will also be used by other car assemblers around the world and being unreliable it's worthwhile to adapt an emulator for testing purposes - it probably only does what the standard Ecu does on powering up anyway.
-
Did you not notice the stone chips on the front disappear and the dent on the drivers side rear quarter? They have to make the program for the non corrado audience too, abs and sunroof feature could apply to any car, if they replaced the suspension on camera every week how boring would it get? There's lots more done to the cars off camera unseen and not accounted for in the pricing at the end.

http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_VCHU.html I have this now, previously tried an Autel MS509 that wouldn't connect to the Corrado
-
My autel ms509 wont connect to the corrado, buy vcds is my advice

Mine had the light permanently on when I bought it, a wheel sensor got me an mot, then the bulb blew and I replaced it. Inlet / outlet valve faults in the pump so I replaced the pump, then more intermittent faults show up with other sensors etc......
-
Sensors aren't £3 either. It could be anything, mines had sensors, a used pump, new bulb in the light unit and I still have intermittent issues with another sensor and the pedal sensor on the servo. I'll be having another go at it over winter once sorn Mine does scan with VCDS BTW

Yes underneath, but around the side and up onto the cylinder head? One of their better shows or it could be rose tinted glasses. Was the car bought off pistonheads? I seem to remember the pics from the advert
-
I enjoyed the show and think the prices weren't too far out given the cars new star status with its own 40 minute tv program / dvd when its released. BBA reman said they had no more spares for the pump unit when I enquired 2 years ago, I'm glad I didn't chuck my old pump out now if its just a case of reflowing soldered joints. The oil on the side of the block by the filter box wasn't caused by the heat exchanger was it?
