    Help!

Front or rear he'll need conversion hoses too. I'm just fitting some rear Ferrodo pads I bought from you a few years ago Jim together with Bradi disks I bought from VagHag.
  2. Mine puts the abs light on if the battery is a little down on power or a jump started, if the lights off at the time of the test its a pass. Mine also prefers a warm engine bay for some reason? I've swapped the pump for a different part number but its too early to declare it fixed as I've been there before several times - disturbing wiring plugs / relays etc seems to temporarily fix the fault only for it to return days or weeks later............
  3. Demon tweeks sell the bits, not cheap though http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/brake-master-cylinders-reservoirs Would remotly mounting the reservoir allow the fitting of a larger diameter master cylinder to the VR6? http://www.europaspares.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=reservoir

  5. Ive recently fitted A pump bought off here 2 years ago that has 6 inlet / outlet connections as the original but has a different part number to the original, numbers are similar to those you quote its early days but looks promissing. O can check part numbers for you over the weekend.

    Abs

The ABS issue has been better than its ever been since I bought the car 4.5 years ago, but the light did reappear once tonight on the move (wheel sensor maybe - I've not had time to scan the car), it does go out when started providing the battery is good (I've had battery issues again and the ABS light because of it), the battery has now been replaced and I've done 100 miles today stop starting 10+ times.
  7. stuarttaylor37 drives a tdi and lives around there
  8. The cams slots being in line to receive the locking plate mean nothing if number ones piston is not at TDC at the same time.
  9. All Corrados are OBD1 as they left the factory, early OBD1 were dizzy ignition, late OBD1 with coil pack. MK3 Golf early were OBD1 dizzy ignition, later OBD1 with coil pack ignition, the last of the MK3s have OBD2 and have the idle valve built into the throttlebody which has a different fitting to the manifold. OBD2 manifolds wont fit OBD1 throttle bodies and vise versa
  10. With number 1 piston at top dead centre TDC the cam lobes on that cylinder should be opposing one another (mirror image)and the valves closed, bare in mind the crank does 2 rotations for every one of the cams. Dont compare lobes on different cylinders.
  11. Post a pic of your throttlebody. Corrados left the factory as obd1
  12. The number on the barcode looks like the supplier number, you're quoting the VAG part number, they may be one and the same? How does the pump fit in the bottom of your tank?
  13. I have a G60 tank free to collector from Cheshire This is the pump connection at the bottom of the tank, others may be able to advise if its suitable
  14. Has it sat outside all winter with no antifreeze in?
  15. whos diagnosed a headgasket failure? Have you been running the car all this time?
  16. Have stealth done a dyno video yet?
  17. Looks a nice one. I think I'd have used the login name Mungo, then your build thread could have been Mungo and Midge (number plate), who else is as old as me and remembers a kids classic?
  18. Its only for radio supression reasons isn't it?
  19. I use photobucket, upload pics and copy and paste the image url http://s22.photobucket.com/
  20. I've just bled the brakes on my newly aquired T5 and the fluid looks like coca-cola, I've never seen anything like it!
  21. Yes make the ABS work and get the brake pedal pulsing as the pump does its stuff
  22. To exercise the valves in the pump the light needs to be off (fully working ABS) before heavy braking, the fluid in mine was filthy First bleed on the right
  23. I think when available new they were £1200-£1400. Early MK3 Gtis (square side repeaters on the front wings) had a similar pump and ECU (under the rear seat) The one I fitted last week had a diffeerent part number to the one I removed hence needing time for evaluation etc Golf VR6 has the same PAS pump
  24. I don't really want to mess around with bubble wrap etc I've been trying to give it a way for over 12 months so its not going anywhere fast. I might be in Cornwall in summer, where abouts are you?
