    Calliper Colour?

Silver for me, red if you want to stand out
  2. Place a note under the windscreen wiper asking the owner to contact you when the time comes he wants to part with it
  3. With the dizzy being on the passenger side of the engine the leads go in an anticlockwise direction, is that the way you've set it up?
  4. Can you see oil getting to the cams? I'd do an oil pressure test before you tear it down again
  5. You need to use your existing rear carriers with MK4 rear calipers (MK4 carriers have the wrong offset)

  10. You cant really do any damage, boring and laborious done by hand but satisfying all the same
  11. There's been a couple of regular track day lads on CGTi that have fitted chinese rods and suffered failures (a 1.8T and a home brew 16VT) where they never did with standard rods, the "ARP" marked rod bolts are failing they claim. I'm not saying these are the same items but buyer beware it seems. There are people here running standard rods with turbos using ARP rod bolts from reputable sources without problems. They do look nice though
  12. I always put the wooden post in an electric drill on slow speed before finishing by hand. You can buy an oscillating valve lapper to do the job. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gunson-G4095-Eezilap-Valve-Lapper-/281125002833?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item41745b1e51
  13. I think the hall sensor is inside the dizzy, I'm not 100% sure, my cars are coilpack, others will advise you better
  14. The speed sensor is the crank sensor (not cam sensor) You will get a code for the crank sensor if if you do a scan and the engine's not running. If the engine runs its unlikely to be the crank sensor - a faulty crank sensor will give no spark or fuel injected. Crank sensors can give missfires when they start to break down.
  15. I got mine from GSF £35 - £40 4 years ago. I can't remember the make but it was a quality brand, Hella / Valeo or similar
  16. Arrived this morning, 10 / 10 for packaging! I'll try it out over the next week or so, do you have a link to the PDF you mentioned earlier?
  17. £110 with postage, one made £68? on ebay before xmas
