  1. Arrive 5 mins ago, thank you. :)
  2. Mine is SK002 Registered 19 / 05 / 1995
  3. You should have 2 lives at the head unit, one permanent (radio station memory etc) and an ignition live with the ignition on - check for 12V at the yellow and red wires (ingition on). It could also be the earth to the head unit, temporarily connect a wire from the head unit chassis to the body of the car to test for this. The head unit will also have its own fuse at the rear of the unit
  4. Paid cash into your account this afternoon, PMd you a copy of the receipt
  5. Would it be better to go from the dangerous to the general public angle? Blame there's a claim etc. A recorded delivery letter stating the danger of collapse onto a pedestrian / child etc enclose copies of pics of rusted fixings, glass falling out and rotten timber?
  6. Its me, it wont let me pay! I've emailed you. Is your paypal address the same as the one you listed? PM please :)
  7. I always find it better to deal with people face to face rather than over the phone.
  8. Drop DPS on here a PM, she's got auto box failure and her bro is converting her car to manual for her. Bust auto box thread http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=89174
  9. If you suspect the matrix is blocked disconnect the pipes at the bulkhead and flush it through with a hose pipe in both directions
  10. I have that Sealey 24V too and I agree with everything that's been said. I crack tight bolts off with a bar and run the bolt out with the gun, recharge takes an hour. If its just for topmounts a Vortex socket set will do the job - Koni state not to use power tools on the top nut on their top adjustables. Before I had my Vortex socket set I did topmounts with a normal socket with 2 flat ground on the sides.
  11. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Compomotive-TH-Mono-16-Falken-Tyres-VW-Mk-2-Golf-Corrado-G60-VR6-/191448996475?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item2c933fda7b Not mine
  12. For £500 more feenix car in the classifieds on here looks a bargain and needs no paint judging by the pics, chains done too
  13. I spotted it earlier, looks OK, worth a look it may sway your decission either way?
  14. What are you flushing out? Or is it just a coolant change? If VW don't stock it on the shelves or in the workshop its not used very often. If its just a coolant change flush with water, if the car has been mixing oil and coolant (head gasket or heat exchanger failure) use a couple of teaspoons of non bio washing powder in water and run the engine up to temp, allow to cool before draining and flushing with water until clear.
  15. Rear pads rusted to the carriers would be my guess, in reverse they rub on the disk and vibrate, strip, de-rust and coat all metal to metal surfaces with copper slip
  16. Worthy of a mention if you're ordering online, cars fitted with air con aren't as accommodating for battery size as those without air con, my over size VR6 battery wont fit in my storm due to air cons piping and electrics etc
  17. http://catalogue.brake-eng.com/ They list all hydraulics, whether they stock them is a different matter http://www.brakesint.co.uk/bremtech_hydraulics.html
  18. Diesels have a higher compression ratio so need more oomph to get them started, I tend to fit Yuasa batterys to our cars and go for the biggest that will fit in the space provided
  19. Make one out of a wire coat hanger? Or even the loop already there on a plastic one just closed up a bit. Audi Ronals have the ring too, but it might be a different size?
  20. Hubs are the same as late 16V MK2 Callipers and carriers are the same as VR6 http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=88444
  21. http://caosvideo.it/v/drag-race-golf-r-vs-gallardo-lp560-vs-cls-63-amg-vs-m6-2467
  22. Some are, gearboxes have no strainer, no pump and no filter, the gears simply whip up oil as they rotate. How long had the tensioner bits been broken and dormant? If you found swarf would you rip the engine apart again?
  23. When you do your next oil change drop a magnet into the old oil in the bowl and see what it picks up. If an engine has survived for 20 years without a magnetic sump plug why does it need one now?
  24. Big pieces of metal wont get past the strainer in the oil pump pick up anyway and will remain in the sump.
