The side window in the doors changed to the larger type in 1988, interiors changed too, PAS became an option then also. Big bumpers came out after August 1989, so true 90 spec will be G, H, J and very rare on a K plate. There are some old stock on G plate with small bumpers too. Run out big bumper cars also got a different interior from H plate onwards until the end of production There was a 20 year campagn model in oak green or ????? blue with small bumpers on a late E plate / early F plate There's plenty of books available, so probably best to buy one to aid your research. Rust gets the sills, the bottom of the A pillars, rear panels and rear hatches in particular. Anywhere there's been previous accident repair will most likely have some rust too. My 90 big bumper 8V was non PAS, manual windows, non central locking and 14 inch steel wheels. I should never have sold it.....

The original is a fibre gasket with alloy fire rings around the cylinder bores, multi layer steel (MLS) is just that, stamped out of thin steel plate and riveted together with a few brass rivets MLS gasket http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Golf-Corrado-VR6-MLS-head-gasket-Victor-Reinz-high-compression-gasket-/121460374181?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c479a3aa5

Sent £10 as "Payment for goods and services" (so paypal wont do gift if you're using a credit card?) Can you confirm you've received the £10 for the postage please?
-
I've sent the other 10 to someone with the same name without the numeric in the email address... It still wont let me pay via paypal using my credit card for payment (even though I paid for the disks in exactly the same way!).... Can you list postage (only) via a panjo listing and I'll pay for postage that way? We're mid way through changing banks, so my debit account isn't verified with paypal atm so I can't use that as payment and paypal say you wont accept payment as gift via credit card via paypal Cluster**** or what!

I've bought these and now hopefully paid for postage separately? Paid £10 for the disks and £10 for postage, let me know if the courier costs are more than this and I'll send more to cover your costs. Post at your leisure, I'm in no rush for these :)

I've never heard of a fitting being used, you could try an hydraulic specialist for a banjo to 10mm x 1mm femail thread? You'd need to thoroughly check for contact / snagging / pinching etc once fitted Is it worth the aggro?

The buyer got a ticket for speeding even before the V5 had come back in his own name, so maybe insurance costs came into play?

A forum member bought it off Mr Lobitos, maybe he's now part ex'd it?

What advantage does the fiesta have over the corrado?

If its pressurising then my advice is to bypass the heater matrix as they're fragile at best and if it bursts passengers may get scalded feet. Its also a dash out job to replace it, time consuming and expensive if done professionally. How much did you pay for the car? Have you contacted the seller to ask why the fans are working off a switch? Has this set up been checked over to see if its been done safely?
-
All the above is pretty basic stuff, they've had the car whilst you were on holiday and they couldn't pinpoint the issue, I'd take it elsewhere. AA and RAC will test for HGF at the roadside........
-
Pressurising and overheating are signs of headgasket failure, it needs testing to confirm this though. It could also be a stuck closed thermostat (cheap to replace with a quality part or remove it altogether temporarily while you continue to test for the issue). Radiator blocked (flush out with a hose pipe), faulty coolant pump, coolant passageways in the engine blocked with non compatible anti freeze (drain and flush out with a hose pipe before refilling with the correct mix), too much anti freeze can also cause overheating (max is 50% anti freeze / water mix).
