  1. MK4 spec 288mm callipers and carriers £30 + P&P Myhermes £7? MK4 rear callipers and nearly new pagid pads (no carriers, mk4s don't fit Corrados) £30 + P&P Myhermes £7? See the Wiki for fitment details, both come with the banjo bolts, but will need conversion hoses to suit Corrado Disclaimer Used brake hydraulics sold as all good but sold on the basis that they are for exchange purposes only unless you deem them fit for use as is - you fit them, you crash because of brake failure don't blame me! Thanks
  2. You can buy a coil pack engine and just swap the dizzy bits over to widen your search
  3. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Vehicle-Parts-Accessories-/131090/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=golf+battery+cover Early A3 too by the look of it You need to check the physical size of the battery and cover chosen are compatible
  4. Early MK4 golf V5 had the fabric covers, if you've fitted a larger than standard battery the original cover wont fit anyway.
  5. It usually states glass cover, but you'll have an excess to pay and as its not broken so you can't claim Bodyshops often use mobile fitters to remove glass, they won't guarantee that they'll remove the glass without breaking it, are you talking about the hatch glass or the quarter glass?
  6. The Bentley is aimed at cars in the USA, you may find they fit a larger rad with aircon as the aircon rad sits in front of the coolant rad reducing the airflow or heating the air about to go through the coolant rad if the aircon is in use
  7. Looks the same as a C? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Golf-2-8-VR6-Mk3-Auxiliary-Water-Pump-1-8T-251-965-561B-/221369962529?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item338aad9021 Not mine

If the part number on the box (1 305 354 933) is correct and they actually fit (no mention of Corrado, just Saab and Volvo) I've found them for $18. Presumably they are left and right handed so have different part numbers?
  9. No idea TBH, but those American custom car programs use steam when the fit the covers, easy does it if you decide to try it Found this too
  10. I bet there's one or two people who'd buy a bumper cut off you for a towing eye or exhaust cut out delete. Bumper iron if in good condition would be worth saving, they rot for fun
  11. I hope you reported it to the police to create a crime statistic?
  12. You may find some are tinted, others clear. I'd have walked over to the car and pretended to get something out of it long before they smashed the window, I'd have even talked to them asking them if they liked it or have they seen one before. ie something non confrontational Little *******s
  13. Its a shame these aren't 16...... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15-ATIWE-alloys-wheels-5x100-leon-vw-golf-III-VR6-GTI-IV-bora-polo-skoda-fabia-/321317233516?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item4acfffe36c Not mine

  15. Plasma cutter? I never took the wheels of and it could be done with the interior still inside. My shell has all sorts of crap thrown inside and a couple of inches of water too I won't be doing it again, all safely tucked away in the garage loft - you never know when you'll need them :)
  16. I've been doing a few shell cuts and having never done any before I didn't really know how to go about it. I removed the rear panel first which probably helps with the arches TBH This is my second attempt having already done the drivers side for a practice I took pics to help anyone in a similar position I found it easiest to sacrifice the whole quarter to allow easier access to the inner skin using the larger angle grinder Once you've removed the section above there's just enough room to cut 80% of the inner arch from outside of the car with the small grinder (the chisel is just there to exaggerate the cut to show it more clearly The cuts at the bottom of each arch are cut from underneath and inside the arch - the space saver gives a little more room, you may need to remove the wheel totally depending where your vertical cuts end at the bottom of the arch You'll need both 9 and 4.5 inch angle grinders, a hammer and chisel to chop where the cuts don't quite meet and gloves!

  18. Get them to do a sniff test to prove combustion gasses are present in the coolant system
  19. You could also try Meth (who does the calendars) as I'm sure a pic was submitted for the calendar a few years ago? I had a pic of it on my desktop for a while too

  21. Were the calliper sliders free moving for the whole duration the pads were in the car?
  22. The battery tray is NSF is it not? I might be able to help next week (Tuesday onwards) if you can put masking tape on your car to outline exactly what you need?
  23. http://www.haymarket.com/motorsport_news/motorsport_news_magazine/default.aspx There used to be several adverts in this weekly newspaper for ex racing car bits, worth a look?
