Why bother when companies like Goodridge make them and the likes of C & R Enterprises, TSR etc have them on the shelf?
-
For the record I quite like the MK3 Scirocco, I'd just choose the Corrado over the sill scraping example in the picture.

I'd take your car over the mk3 scirocco any day of the week, the mk2 scirocco scala looks stunning, just minor cleaning up and a larger version of the OE fit wheels and it just looks so right
-
I have a pair too. Also interested in your Schimmels when the time comes to sell :)

Strip and inspect, make sure the pads are free moving in the carriers on both sides. Operate the caliper levers by hand, make sure they return to there stops Refit and adjust the cables so they start to clamp the disks evenly after 2 clicks on the handbrake lever. I'd replace the pads with new ones if you continue to have problems after the above.

VAG diesels use a black vac tank. Would a shift light controller be able to be adapted for the controller? Instead of illuminating a light it fires a vac solenoid? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ADJUSTABLE-PRO-SHIFT-LIGHT-RPM-UNIVERSAL-Titanium-Silver-CASE-W-GREEN-LED-/330931216288?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d0d099fa0 -

http://www.avl-schrick.com/dat/MK/EinbauanleitungVR6Saugrohr.pdf Fitting instructions and operating adjustment tables here. I contacted coordsport about obtaining a controller for the manifold, they contacted schrick who said they had no spares in stock and no plans to make anymore anytime soon -

I was runner up, swine! ;) Different seller, same mani? Look at the swirls where it looks like someone has been trying to remove corrosion with a drill or rotary tool http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Schrick-VR6-Performance-Inlet-Manifold-/221376857064?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item338b16c3e8 -
Could the debris have come from the oil cooler? Is it steel (try to pick it up with a magnet) / cast iron, alloy or white metal (big ends / mains) -
