  1. See post 96, you can view cam timing and the sensors themselves with VCDS with measuing blocks 208 and 209. http://www.r32oc.com/general-chat/9621-timing-chain-4.html
  2. 24V BDE cylinderhead complete, bought by me but no longer needed. £100 collection from near Crewe
  3. 2000 Golf V5 10V gearbox, shift tower, cables and shifter complete from my own personal car that I used daily for 2 years before breaking it due to headgasket failure, 140K miles, smooth gear change and no strange noises. £125 collected from Crewe please.
  4. I've broken 3 cars in the last 4 years, as said its time consuming and postage is expensive - people want to pay very little! Ebay selling fees soon add up and you can end up being a busy fool if you sell too cheaply - if I'm not making above minimum wage I'd rather put it in the bin is how I look at it now, removal, packaging, then a drive into town can easily take 90 mins, so after ebay fees, paypal fees, (recorded) postage and packaging, petol costs, parking costs etc your £30 sale nets you around £15 for 90 mins work. I'd rather hang out for cash on collection, remove it and hand it over and pocket extra cash too. I broke a mk3 golf tdi estate - bits sold very well! Golf V5 estate not so well. Seat Toledo V5 20V has been a slow seller, lots left, little interest. Skoda octavia 1.8T lined up next as no one wants to buy a car needing a full service, cambelt and clutch in the near future............... That's another thing, once you start doing it you're hooked, If I can't get £XXXX for it I'll break it, its a downward spiral.............
  5. I paid £155 for a set in used but sound condition - thats prety much what they go for. I also have 2 new old stock wheels with different part numbers on, non are 7 inch wide. The original plan was to look for another pair of NOS wheels to complete the set but I could only find them at £300 each hence buying a used set.
  6. Did you do anything to stop the bolt chaffing the wiring? Nice work BTW
  7. Yes thank you - It slipped my mind to let you know, sorry

    Aaaaaahhh ABS!!

That's what they get paid for. VOSA reps park down the street and observe the tests taking place via laptops as well as sending in cars with known faults to catch out MOT stations. My tester wouldn't miss a non functioning light and if the light is on the dash the ABS is not working.

    Aaaaaahhh ABS!!

I'd be looking at the condition of the reluctor ring on the back of the brake disc where the sensor picks up on before suspecting the ecu
  10. Purple Tom was first, I'm still interested if he's not
  11. I'm interested too should this deal fall through
  12. Posting it sat or mon would be better for me Its for my Audi 80 cab, the previous female owners must have had rings on every finger
  13. I'll take this posted please, paypal gift?
  14. Have a good look underneath the car as co part load every car whether drivable or not with a forklift! They're also good at draining fuel near the tank and not refitting the fuel lines properly! Nice work

  16. I still have the loom so I could snip the plug off with cable to solder it into your loom. Can't you reseal your pump? Undo the screws and epoxy it back together for a kill or cure fix?
  17. Both of mine have the same number, 10V and 20V V5 engines ---------- Post added at 11:40 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:20 AM ---------- Not the best pic
  18. Part number 0 392 020 073
  19. I once found an electric pump similar for racing motorbikes when I was looking for one for my V5 (it came complete with loom plug) - it turned out the wire was broken in the loom near the plug, have you checked for 12V at the plug?
  20. They have them on V5 MK4s, passats and toledos (10Vs and 20Vs), I'm not sure about the electrical connector though, I've got a couple in the garage, I'll check tomorrow.
  21. He's not a member here, he's asked me to pass on his number, check your PMs
  22. I've PMd him a link to this thread
  23. I've no idea TBH, there's a lad on CGTi that wants the 20V box for his car, I've provisionally accepted his offer tonight, he's removing his VR gearbox and selling it to fund the V5 box which he says its close ratio
  24. I've got a couple of VAG V5 gearboxes, one a 10V, the other a 20V. MK4 derived cars have DMF which offer some protection to the gearboxes. Both from my own cars that I've personally driven, no issues at all, both have done 140Kish miles. I have starters and lever and cable assys too if needed. £100 for the 10V (head gasket failure), £150 for the 20V (stretched chains)
