Wire brush the block before you re-torque the sensor. It can also be a fuel or timing issue, it wouldn't hurt to clean both cam and crank sensors and check there connections for corrosion

Rainex is great for making rain bead off the screen at speed, however it leaves little water on the screen to lubricate the wipers and judder is the name of the game for 12 months after application.

I used one as a daily, but car shared for work, they didn't share my enthusiasm - especially those in the back. The compromise is to use in the warmer weather, garage over winter and buy something to get you through the worst of the weather.

How will you inflate your tyres if / when / as needed? Air lines / compressors aren't always accessible.

There are some who've fitted MK4 golf pumps and been OK even though they are reputed to run higher pressures. MK4 Golf V5 starters have also been fitted and give a better cranking speed

Carriers only? I presume you already have 288mm conversion? Standard 280mm calipers wont fit with either 288 or 312mm discs.

You need to seal off the bulkhead to prevent water ingress into the cabin, so a piece of plate the same thickness as the difference in length on the rod, 3 holes to suit the master and longer bolts? Or are they studs on the master itself?

Can you not just fit a packing piece between the master and bulkhead to drop the pedal to a sensible level?
