Pete Griff's 'Rado R32 - (Not quite!) Alive at last! :D

Yeah keep at it fella, all will come good in the end -
I should think so. But why have that when you can have this one? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-2 ... 240%3A1318 Be good for 220bhp-240bhp with remap
-
Yeah nice work. Wish I was this handy with DIY! Are you going to give them any more depth?
-
Sounds a bit steep mate I would have thought you would be looking at no more than 150-200 and that would be for the whole door. Have you tried one of the mobile dent/paint guys, they are pretty good do a decentish job and prob only cost you £60-100
-
How about hill climbing/circuit racing? Good fun reasonably cheap and you dont have to worry about other people on the track or wiping your car out :D
-
That is my worst nightmare. Mindless fookin vandalism, I mean why!!! Happened to mine a couple of years back. Stole badges, snapped aerial off, keyed car and glass. Really feel for you mate. Try and turn it into a 'positive' and get a couple of items colour coded or something when you have it fixed. That way at least you feel like you have improved rather than spending money on nothing. May sound daft but it cheered me a little. Have a good Xmas anyway Matt

Now thats what I call a Xmas present! :D -
Gotta say I really like (am and tempted by myself) the Monti's. Look really good on the C for some reason, love it!
-
Id leave em Tom. You can mod for moddings sake and I think they look pretty spot on in silver.
-
Wheel whore! LOL Are you going to spill the beans on your other set of BBS then :D Think eventually I may go back to standard wheels or 16's. Not quite had enough of how good it looks on the 17's at the moment though LOL Matt
-
That really is looking lurvely. Great colour Moonlight. What happened to the BBS wheels? Always liked the way they looked stock with the VW centres.
-
You need all VR6 parts mate to do the job right. Shockers from other models will fit but arent ideal. May be worth thinking of upgrading to some aftermarket coilovers?
-
I like that. Wish mine was in a little further :norty: Matt
-
Any 13cm component speaker will fit Rich. Just make sure it isnt too deep. Should be able to get something ok for around £40
-
Nice. Love the wheels I wouldnt mind seeing the Mk1 though as well :D

How about this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-2 ... 240%3A1318 6 speed gearbox recently sold on here for circa £500 so sell that for even £250 and you have a cheap engine! Then again forgot you have a valver so would need a VR gearbox anyway. So just keep it and go 6 speed :D

 love it

I have just bought a Alpine IXA300 and I cant fault it for the money. Plus it goes with the Corrado interior VERY well. Matt -
LOL I must really have missed something prior to this....
-
Similar in design to the one you posted. Scorpion round and rolled!

Its on Discovery. Discovery Real Time I think, although that may be the last of the series now. http://www.discoverychannel.co.uk/web/chop-shop-2/

smiffy dont be so negative ;-) if you're doing the work yourself you can fit and r32 for under 3k depends what you want from the car? you could always go for a 2.8 24v, cheaper than the 3.2's and there are a few supercharger kits croping up on here and edition, i'm sure that could all be made to work for 3k! I have seen 2.0fsi engines go for as low as £850 so Im sure it is possible. May be worth just selling the valver though and buying a car that has already been sorted?
-
Yeah buy a whole mint VR car or stick a R32 lump in it, or maybe the new 2.0GTi lump.....
-
Have you cleaned the inside of the switch yet?
-
Yep head gasket has gone!
