Leonard's Corrado VR6 - 515bhp 5.9L's twin scroll turbo ;)

I do get a bit of rubbing when hitting big bumps (of which we have plenty in Derbyshire) Cant really see where though? Guess its the top of the arch, but cannot really see why as they are only 5mm higher than my 15's :confused4: TBH Im not really going to be using the car that much this winter, just the odd trip out and about. Therefore will probably keep em on and just make sure car is cleaned after every journey. I left the rims laquered and just polished up the inners so maintenance wise they are not too bad. Really easy to wash as well, love them! :D Did think of having a short front plate as well, however it didnt look quite right. Having plate same width as the grill seems to work better. Just noticed I need to paint my calipers! Damn thought I had finished, always something LOL -

Cheers m8 Futura's are 17x7.5 ET33 Tyres are 205/40 Toyo Poxe4's Bought the plate to go on my black Lambo, well I can dream cant I :D Looked better with a backwards E for the 3 but I dont really like messing with plates despite never having been pulled. -
LOL I know what you mean. When I think of the fun I used to have in cars I didnt give a sh!t about :D Keep it, be daft not to for the amount of money you will get selling it.

Another vote for carpet cleaner here as well! You could do your house for £30 as well :D Cant wait to see all the updates on this conversion. Have you got any skills already that you are bringing to the camper van conversion table????

Ok so I finally managed to get out and take a few pics of how my C looks now. Basically over the past couple of months the car has been subject to a respray from the roof down plus a few other exterior bits, shortened aerial, new roof strips, window strips, sunroof seal, colour coded badges, bump strips removed, tinted rear lights, clear side repeaters, new number plates etc I think that is it for the exterior now, I dont want to go over the top still want it looking reasonably std. Interior is all done as well now apart from a speaker upgrade which is reasonably low priority. Fitted my new Alpine head unit though and picked up an Alpine amp as well. Anyway here are some pics hope you like. Ok quality but taken on my phone..... Last pic really upsets me that the car isnt central to the road, may have to go take it again LOL -

I know I know Kev. Sure I will love it! Just trying to justify the cost. Have enough money put away now to do the clutch and fit the VSR and Cams OR just do the clutch and lsd and leave the rest until next spring..... Damn gonna have to get the dif arent I :D I would love the shorter final drive but tbh if anything a longer one would probably suit me better...... -

Hey Mark I think you will be proud :D Going to try and take some pics tomorrow if it ever stops raining! Matt -
Are you serious? I don't know if I'm brave enough to hand my keys over to someone else ... had a recent 'debate' with my girlfriend about driving the 'rado and she wasn't happy about being told no :D ... but if there really, and I do mean REALLY is no other way ... it's better than having to part with it, I guess :cuckoo: ... so I'll consider it and be in touch ... no promises though That would be awesome! I am the same with my car so you wouldnt have to worry about any Rally cross :D And if it cheers your gf up any I dont let mine drive my car either lol. I wouldnt be able to commit fully as i would have to take work into account. However it would be an amazing road trip so would certainly consider it. Keep me posted. Just been cleaning mine and there is no way i could part with it either now. Especially for the peanuts that they are currently fetching. Picked my friend up last night who alway buys 20k cars and he had to admit he couldnt fault it and that it sounded better than any car he had ever owned :D All the best Matt

I would maybe up for a group buy.

Awesome wheels m8, may even look better than my Futura's! :D
-
If you can afford it check out the Nakamichi units. They come in green and have superb sound.
-
I just bought an Alpine iDA X300 wont set the world alight but is a BIG improvement over the std sony tape deck :D Plus what I liked about it is the fact that it goes well into the Corrado interior ie doesnt look too modern, all green etc Plus pretty cheap.

how pi$$ed would you be if this happened to you

3months ago I would have been happy as could have saved me money on a respray. ;) If it was my new car I would have gone balistic however!!! -
Here you go. Bargain if you can swap your VR for it http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.p ... 0&start=20 Only thing it is lacking is leather.

Yep she has had some cool cars. Even owned a brand new Corrado 2.0 16V in white for a day.... LOL That was my first love affair with the Corrado. Whilst she was buying the valver I was sat in a Blue VR6 in the showroom wishing it could be mine! And now it is and for considerably less than £24k (thank goodness) Cobalt blue is the colour to have on the 944S2, trust me I have been to see every other colour  There was a guy on Edition 38 wanting to swap his 944S2 in blue for a Corrado. Not sure if he still has it?
-
My mum had a 944S2 Cab that I was insured on at same time I had my VR6. Awesome car chassis very underwhelmed by the 211bhp. Very good handling but feel like a bigger car to hustle than the C. You cant argue with RWD and sublime weight balance though! Similar performance to the VR but smoother IMO. If taken to a specialist bills are probably about 15% more than the VR. As said above by a nice example and you shouldnt go wrong.

Garages tend to buy cheapo parts rather than genuine VAG. And if the pattern wheel bearings I had fitted were anything to go by, he'll be getting em done again next year... definately worth getting the genuine VW items. No reason you cant tell them to get a VW one. I am just thinking about this.... viewtopic.php?f=23&t=70702&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=wheel+bearing+garage
-
Yes but then if they fit it wrongly they can avoid liability. They are only £20 max probably more like £12.
-
I would get the garage to purchase it. That way you are covered if they fit it wrongly.....
-
OZ Tourismos in silver look good on Aqua Corrados if that helps similar type wheel :D
-
The trick with the seal is to have the panel out and use as much brute force with your thumbs as you can muster LOL Mine were hurting for two days after fitting mine :D Pays once you have put the seal on to go round again with your thumbs using your body weight to push down even harder. No real trick as far as I could see. Matt

I was going to say, lets be honest 300bhp would be enough! :afro:
