Yeah me  I LOVE your 540 looks bloody beautiful. Iron fist in a velvet glove  But ironically I only have 3k for a runaround so have also been looking at 4motion Bora's or Golf's LOL. Figured 4wd would be better in the winter than RWD, saying that bet if I get one we wont get any snow this year! Did I miss a thread about your Mk2, I have been considering one of them as well, but not sure for a daily :?

Blimey mate thats a run of bad luck there. Puts me running my oz alloy into the curb tonight into perspective! Hope it comes together soon so that you can get on with enjoying it 8)

NEW CORRADO FORUM INSURANCE SCHEME VIA CHRIS KNOTT INSURANCE
Leonard replied to ChrisKnottIns's topic in Insurance
Just got this years renewal, £60 up on last year. Why oh why oh why does the premium always go up each year! Meaning you have to go through the age old hunting around and haggling process only to end up with the same price you had last year from the same provider. Surely you should get rewarded for yet another year of careful driving  Matt -
I need to find my brochure, but Im pretty sure it was £2500  for leather electric heated Recaros
-

Who's the guy?

Dont know if it helps mate, but mine are 17x7.5 ET30 and i have an easy cm room to spare in the arches. I would have thought ET40 8 inch would fit ok but you may have to roll the arches.

Check the two water pumps and the top of the radiator kneck pipe (mine has just gone there)

Leonard, the choc chip muffing is yours! not sure if I told you before or your just a mind reader but Im impressed on how you knew :notworthy: . Yup 17" RH Cups, which are due to arrive soon I hope. Will be stripping them back to allow for a full refurb, not sure what colour to do the centre's yet though Today I finished welding all the unecessary holes on the vr6 front slam panel ready for the strip and rebuild. Hoping to get this and the wheels done before gti inters. Ooo choc chip muffin my fave  Dont know why but they just seemed the obvious choice! Quite like anthracite grey centres on the RH's not sure what it would look like with the aqua but nice wheels none the less!

Auto closure stopped working and electric windows!! HELP!!
Leonard replied to ANDREW 30's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
I spent two years (probably 20 weekends) and around £80 in parts trying to sort out the same problem. In the end after testing everything I rung an auto electrician and he sorted it in 2 hours for £80! I would never have found the problem either being a split wire behind the dash/bulkhead! Call in the experts is my advice  -
No dont think so mate. If you want to do a diy fit I think your better off with the 6 speed out of 2.0fsi. I keep looking at this and havent seen an easy diy fit/kit as yet
-
Nice mate looks like a good one. All very true points you make there about C ownership  Do look better lowered but not too much. Plenty of info on here about what is best KW Variant 1 suspension gets the nod from most. Matt

Awesome cheers mate that looks even cooler! Crying out for a rear bias 4wd system and that characterful Audi 5cyl engine. I want it bad! :( Imagine this tuned to within an inch of its life with more howl, more induction roar and spitting flames  http://www.youtube.com/user/NemesisNG#p ... EwzIslLaas

Oi I havent got any kids! Its my ideal everyday car, its not supposed to be yours LOL Have you seen the size of a golf boot with the seats down its pretty huge, bet its not far off an Audi A4 (whos boot is woeful for an estate) And its 4WD so will be fine in the snow  And that Audi engine is a modern classic! I keep trying to convince myself I need a bigger car. But everytime I test drive one I am left disapointed. I live in the Peak District not Texas so had best get used to it... Thought an S4 would be a great car but the steering feel was shocking (just like my old S3). Do Audi make a car with good steering feel/feedback?????
