  1. BigtartanG60, I can pretty much guarantee it is the fuel rail that is the cause. Turn the ignition on when the car is cold so the pump primes. Then pop the bonnet and check both ends of the fuel rail where the rubber pipes connect. I bet you any money one end will be leaking fuel, might not look much but that is the cause. This problem is a very dangerous one on digifant cars. Hope that helps mate J
  2. My mate lives in Croydon and apparently Eurotec has been burnt to the ground. What a nightmare. Apparently a couple of MK1s are there completely burnt out and all the stock and show stuff will have gone too. Don't know any more than that. Bad news for them. :( J

    Boot light

In the lock assembly if I remember rightly. Hope that helps J
  4. Not sure if the VR is the same as a G60 but check the closed throttle switch is engaging properly if its there. J
  5. I may well be interested in one for the G60 as I think my custom built system has gone inside and I am intending to get my money back so would be up for a Magnex as a replacement. Obviously this would involve changing the hangers but I am happy to do the work. Pencil me in! ;o) J
  6. Come on people the auction finishes tomorrow you know you want it!! ;o) Those lovely comfy Porsche Seats. J
  7. Yep, exactly what I discovered. I just need to get round to it! Should fill up those annoying gaps nicely. J
  8. Cheers for all the positive feedback lads. I was very careful with the newspaper selection for the re-spray, glad someone noticed!! ;o) The grilles have changed once or twice, but vary from cut down Jetta to cut down Golf... I did think about putting a TV in the dash but I don't want to attract attention really. Late lights in the early bumper is one of the easiest mods I have done. Late headlights to come soon. Jay.
  9. Yeah I know there is no panel there until is goes off, but a lot of cars have a panel where the air-bag is, so it will not look odd having a neat panel. The bit that is replaced if the airbag goes off, is just the top half of the dash. Yes this part is £600 from Audi because of the airbag, but what I meant was the rest of the dash is still sought after so you will not get usually get it cheap. Glad you like it mate. Cheers J
  10. It does not rip it apart as it had gone off in mine and you can see where. I am going to get a panel made to cover it, that will look like an airbag patch. The expensive stuff is all the dials, climatronic, centre tunnel, A bars etc.. The TT dash is still difficult to find and even harder at sensible prices. J
  11. CaiosG60 Cheers, its getting there. I only got rid of the BBS splits as the ride was not great on them, turned out it was more down to the suspension I was running at the time and the Koni coilovers I have now are much better. I kind of wish I had stuck with them, but there is something special coming soon in the wheel department. The TT dash would probably be quite tricky to fit well in the MK2 as the centre tunnel is lower than the Corrado or Rallye. Most breakers wanted £500+ for the dash, but suffice to say I got it for a fair bit less! )

    elec windows

Its up on top of the fuse box on its own if I remember rightly HTH Cheers J
  13. I would be interested, dependant on price obviously and I reckon I know a couple of other people who would be interested. Cheers J
  14. To be honest very little. I always sell things to buy things. The paintjob was just the cost of the materials, as I prepped it and my mate is a sprayer. The dash I fitted myself with the help of my mate.. Obviously there is outlay but I have never just paid a lump sum for something to be done, I do it all myself. Wheels I have always, swapped or bought cheap and I managed to work my way up to RC's. My mates say I am a jammy git, but I just work hard at finding bargains and work hard at doing the mods. Much to the GF's frustration! ;o) J
  15. Cheers. There is a lot more to come this year! Roll on inters '04 Nope its Porsche Amethyst, but it is very very similar to Blackberry metallic. J
  16. After inters a TT dash, Brembos, Porsche seats and a few other bits came about. Its getting there.... watch this space. Cheers J
  17. Just thought I should post a few pictures of how my car has developed over the last two years. Its getting there but there is a hell of a lot more to come! It started as a straight but tired standard G60, then things changed a bit. For latest pics see the last few pages.
  18. No comment on whats coming. I thought I ought to cover all avenues! ;o) J
  19. Only £500. I was quoted that for the front seats alone by a Porsche seat place!! They are very very comfy seats, much better than Corrado ones. J
  20. Steve, Have a look at item 2444045996 on E-bay, I might save you all the work!! Cheers J
  21. Hello all, I am selling a one of custom Porsche interior on E-bay for a Corrado, due to a change of plans for my interior. All the details are on E-bay if you browse you will find it. This is a one off opportunity as this will drop straight into any Corrado, or even a MK2. Have a look and have a bid! ;o) Cheers J

  23. ChrisVR6NOS, My first tip is unless you know a hell of a lot about vehicle wiring don't bother. I don't want to put people off by any means, but there are 3 x 32 pin connectors on the back of the dials to start with. Then there is the climatronic!! The wiring work is endless to get everything working. Because mine is a daily driver (I need to get to work) I had to get everything working. The wiring aside the other major factor obviously is getting it to fit. You have to totally re-stucture all the heater ducting, fit all the climatronic system (holes in the fire wall etc...), completely re-do all the underside of the centre tunnel, move the handbrake, fabricate brackets all over the place, completely modify the shape of the dash.. the list goes on... You also have to make new door cards to clear the dash as its slightly wider. In the end though, I say go for it. I did and am glad I did. Cheers J
  24. Dubster 82, I have never seen a Corrado with a TT dash in a magazine or anywhere on the net, what I meant was its proof of the first one to be "seen". Obviously if someone shows me proof of one done earlier then fair enough. In all honesty I am just happy with the reaction it gets. Dubbprince, I am in Bournemouth but my GF's parents live up near Harrogate so I am up there every couple of months. Cheers J
