Will you be needing some of my Porsche subframes Alex?? J
-
Lamda Probe - Is this the right one for my G60???
24V Renshaw replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Archive
Short answer. NO. The PG engine is not listed, this is the lambda probe for a 16v. Jay -
I have Porsche 911 Turbo Sport (deep side bolsters) seats, full electrics. If I had a choice I would stick with the ones I have as I had later style (Porsche 993 sport) seats but they didn't look right with the rest of the interior IMHO. J
-
Alan, Yes I can do a set of subframes to allow Porsche seats to fit the MK2 aswell. PM me if you want a set and I will sort them out for you. Jay.
-
Yep that part is probably more likely as the first option as it is easier to produce. Watch this space. J

I tell you what, all this teasing this had better be damn good and innovative. :)

Two. Approximately 1/3 of the way across from each side. You can get at it without removing the ECU or wipers. Its a 10mm nut, best to use a 10mm spanner. J
-
MK3 seats willl probably be a little high depending on how tall you are. The trouble is the subframe is under the seat base, unlike the corrado, where the seat base sort of sits between the subframe. J

I am doing a driving day on the 14th of August at Bruntingthorpe. I get 6 laps in a 996 Porker, 6 laps in a Ferrari 355, 6 laps in an Elise and 6 laps in a WRX. Can't wait. I have never really driven a rwd car quick, talk about in aat the deep end!! I have to thank the GF for buying it for my Birthday.

The ABS was part of the facelift on the 92 J, along with all the other (discussed loads of times) changes. Mine is an early J and as such doesn't have ABS. I fitted the Brembos on the front and wound the rear bias valve right down as it kept locking a rear under hard breaking. Having the soft springs won't help as the weight transfer will accentuate the problem. HTH J

If you want Porsche front seats I can supply custom subframes to do the job properly. See my piccies. J

Sorry went off on one a bit there. It just bugs me when people think decently modded cars must have had loads of money spent on them at tuners etc.. J
-
I must admit it annoys me at shows where people say to me "you have far too much money mate". I wish. I don't earn big money by any stretch and I buy and sell to cover the costs of all my mods. Also my car has never been in a garage or tuners once for work to be done. I think you will find a lot of the "big modders" are not close to thirty but in fact in their early twenties. The other things that annoys me is the fact that people think our cars are only for shows. There is no way in this world I could afford a second car and drive my car to work every day over 40 miles. Sorry just had to get that off my chest

Crazymarcel - Cheers mate, I am quite pleased with the front end now, looks different to inters and the mag feature anyway. LowG - There is no way you will fit 10x17's in standard arches without it looking stupid. Even my 8.5x17's required a fair bit of arch modification so that I can drive it every day without it rubbing. Another inch and a half would be ridiculous. -

Cheers. They are 8.5x17 Rims with 205/40/17 tyres. Just a touch of stretch. J -
How about a bit of market reasearch. How much would people pay for a Climatronic conversion kit for the C. I think the easiest way would be to supply all the required pipes, wiring, brackets and relays etc.. but not the compressor, condensor or the control panel and matrix, which could be retrieved from breakers yards, e-bay etc.. J
-
It was me who did the Climatronic conversion in Guys storm and have done it in my C too, originally with Climatronic in the Corrado dash, now linked into the TT Dash. Give me a couple of months and I may have a "conversion" kit to allow full climatronic to be fitted to any late dash Corrado as part of our range of Corrado products...watch this space. 8) J

Loving the fact that the "top photos of all time" are of me, or my car! :) Some cracking pics there cheers mate. -
Looking forward to seeing it if I make it to festival Lee.

The metal support brackets for the heater controls are different too. If you wanted to actually fit it properly you need to make up a metal bracket for the heater controls to screw to. J
-
What Viagra! :) :D
-
I have to disagree Phat, I can see something that looks quite good on the car..............the front brakes look decent, separate bells and rotors. :) Thats it though. It looks like he has tried to style it like a Merc SLR looking at the front and the doors.
-
|Weichers in the states do "proper" roll cages for the C. Not show ones, but proper bolt in steel jobs. They look good too, I am seriously considering it myself. J
