  1. Sorry fella. I might have another at some point though. Would a complete VR6 one be of interest? ;) Jay
  2. Right. To be honest I would prefer this collected as I don't really want to risk it getting damaged in transit. If someone 100% wants it and can collect from Wilmslow it's yours. If you collect this weekend I will knock £5 off :). You could even come along to the NW meet on Sunday. Jay
  3. Yeah really pleased with it all. Tyres are getting fitted to the wheels at lunchtime today. :)
  4. Will have to drill them for now but there must be standard ones? Thinking about it, Is it something that comes with the aftermarket suspension kits?
  5. Yep I ache from head to toe, but its worth it with the beam sitting in place. Tomorrow evening is assembly of the rear beam bits, brakes etc.. but I have hit a stop on fitting the suspension as the concave washers are too small to fit the Konis.... See here... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?65749-URGENT-HELP-Wanted-the-concave-washers-for-the-top-of-rear-shocks Jay
  6. Having tried to fit my new Koni rear shocks as part of my "rebuild" I have come across a problem. The two concave washers at the top of the shocks which sit in the rubber bushes don't fit the Konis, neither does the top plate washer. basically the hole in the middle of them all is too small. I am pretty sure from memory this is a change VW made on different age cars, but either way I need a full set of the ones with bigger holes in... Can anyone help, ideally close to Manchester so I can come and pick them up tomorrow. Also can anyone remember which cars have the bigger holes? Cheers Jay
  7. I have for sale a complete Non VR6 (8v, G60, 16v) rear beam for sale. This has been stripped down to the bare beam and then sand blasted and powder coated in OEM satin black. It really is spotless and ready to have the bushes fitted and be built up with all the parts. It comes complete with the two mounting brackets and the link arm for the brake regulator also stripped and powder coated. All yours for £85.
  8. Bit more detail of what went on... Cleaned up the mounting points for the rear beam while I had chance as it was off. So ground them back to clean off any rusty patches, then treated all the metal with a rust remover, then sealered it all with underseal. Thought I might aswell while I had chance.. For those people that think the rear beam on a VR6 is the same as all the other corrados, I have definitive proof its not the case.... 5mm wider per side and the size of the rear beam bushes is totally different, let alone the mounting points for the brake regulator. I have to admit to having some help today..... she was able to get into all the little awkward places I couldn't ;) Jay
  9. Sorry was a bit slow to post again. Rear beam going back on... Still working on it now having had a break for tea and the kids bedtime. Will post all the other pics a bit later... Jay
  10. Fingers crossed... Live update 2 Rear beam bushes install in newly coated beam... Rear "OEM" stealth look Koni struts and H&R springs built up.. Jay
  11. Finally got my bits back from the powder coaters and to say I am chuffed is an understatement! They have cleaned up lovely and are properly coated in satin black. And the wheels have come up great too..... Now all I have to do is fit it all!!!! Jay
  12. Hi mate. There is a bit of a mix between 60 and 70 shore depending on the position. Jay
  13. I personally think the ambient air in the engine bay will be far warmer than nice cool air coming in through a standard airbox duct only briefly passing over a heat source... It looks nicer too... :) Jay
  14. They look a bit "fatter" than the ones I got. Would probably still be ok but might clash with bits of the motor as I have a recollection of them being close as it was. Jay
  15. What about the compromise of the 4motion 24v. Not got the top end of the R32, but you can pick em up for pennies and they return a good 35+ mpg if setup right. I absolutely loved the drivability of mine when I built it. It's not got the silly fun at over 4k but it feels so much more nippy bottom end. If I am honest if my VR implodes an R32 will probably find its way under the bonnet :) Jay
  16. Anyone going to the NW meet on Sunday can try these out in my car if they are interested. Jay
