Also stripped the rust and yellow paint from the Koni struts and painted them black so they look OEM once fitted... Oh and this is the mileage it rolled over to this week... Jay -
Renshaw project (probably going to sell / swap)

Managed to clear the garage and get the car in this evening, ready for the onslaught over the next couple of days. As I had a few minutes spare when I had got it in, I Fitted one of Daves short shift kits and am very pleased with the reduced throw and much more solid feel. Still not got all the bits back from the powder coaters yet, so I am getting slightly frustrated but fingers crossed I will have it all tomorrow and can get on with things.... Jay -
Fitted mine tonight. Quality bit of kit and really improves the feel. Top man Dave Jay

I will try and arrange a work trip in your direction somehow so I can come and get these... Jay

I am after a replacement heatshield from over the rear silencer box on my VR. The one on mine has corroded around the mount clips and I would like to replace it, although I could repair it if necessary. So does anyone have one? Part number on the one I have taken off is 1H0803310B Cheers Jay

Can someone please tell me what this part is?

You can get it from FORD a bit cheaper. Crankcase breather pipe. Someone will have the part number handy. I bought a brand new one for mine when I bought it as it was hanging off. Jay -
Perfect for browsing forums and eBay :) I love mine, but do tend to still use the iPhone a lot. Jay

Rear shock lower rubber mount/bush.... Part number?
24V Renshaw replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in Drivetrain
Turns out you can't buy the bush from VW, or even the whole strut as they are now obsolete. However KONI have come up trumps, so in a week I should have two original Koni Lower bushes for my Koni struts :) Jay -
not seen one in a UK Rado yet? Got any details? Jay

Just out of interested has anyone in the UK done an R36 in a Corrado yet? Jay

I have a set of these on order on their way to me now. Should be with me tomorrow so I can see what I have if it will help... Jay

Rear shock lower rubber mount/bush.... Part number?

Anyone? -
I am refurbishing my rear struts and have removed the rubber mounting bush from the bottom. Having a look on VAGCAT it appears this is not listed as a separate part, but then neither is the front wishbone bush which you can buy on its own. So does anyone know a part number or somewhere to get this lower bush? I actually have Koni struts but am making the assumption for now that they use the same bush. Jay

Managed to get some time on the bits for the ream beam which are not at the powder coaters this weekend. Including the rear MK4 calipers, which I managed to strip down, clean up and paint black ready to fit. Calipers in high temp gloss and the levers in satin black. Got some nice braided banjo hoses coming for them next week, but they look respectable now... Before.... After.... Updates should come thick and fast this week.... Jay
