I think he meant 3 people in the car with it Rams. It's a piece of **** to do on your own. Just support it with trolley jacks front and back and once it's all unbolted lower it down and the do the reverse to refit. I am going to get one powder coated and rebuilt and replace it all in one go. No point trying to do it all on the car and I need the car as a daily. Jay

Well it just so happens that Dave's LBJ arrived in the post a couple of days back after the first one he sent got lost in the post. So I now have one to experiment with and was hoping to get out in the garage tonight and see how it comes apart (if it does). So watch this space..... Jay

Confirms what I have found. The basic metal beam is the same on any of the higher spec cars e.g Mk2 GTi etc.. Which have the ARB. The parts that are different I will be stripping off and swapping over anyway. So has anyone got one whatever car it's off?

Weird question but could you find a part number on it do you think?

Hi all, I am after a rear beam to refurb in preparation for my MOT. Looking on ETKA the actual beam on all Corrados is the same. So what have you got? And where are you? Cheers Jay

Yep want a straight sale unless you happen to have a rebuilt VR6 rear beam with MK4 calipers on it :)

I have for sale a set of 17" AZEV A wheels They are 8" Wide and ET30 with a 5x100 stud pattern so will go straight on a VR6. I bought them with the intention of running them without any centre caps as they look like big versions of the factory speedlines to me. However I have been given a set of BBS RC's so these have to go. They have no centre caps and one of the wheels has had a tiny weld repair done on a hairline crack, but they are straight and true. They are nice set of wheels and would look OK as they are but would be perfect for a refurb. £225 Ideally collected from Wilmslow in Cheshire. Jay

Anyone got a MK4 rear caliper setup to sell. Save me trawling around to find a clean and tidy pair of calipers. Happy to buy a whole rear beam if its all done properly. Let me know. Cheers Jay
