Leave it with me :) Jay

I looked at the MK4 rack and it was very different as from memory its very tall where the column joins to it. However I didn't actually put it up against the VR one at the time.... Jay
-
Yep that will fit. Infact all of them will fit (MK1, MK2, MK3) if you either use or don't use the adaptor ring on the column. But for a straight fit either a MK3 or MK2 one will do. Jay

Lowered, de-badged grill, black centres in the wheels. fitting a front spoiler, fitting side strips (why??) Thats all i can spot for now. Jay -
Trouble is thats the same rack though, which means the same problems. I was thinking of a newer rack that might be useable.... Jay
-
eh? Jay

Here we go again..... I have the same along with the clicking (in another thread). Basically the VR rack is sh1te. Never had any problems with my G60 rack, but since I put the 24v in and the VR6 steering set-up its getting worse. Is there another rack that would fit? or could be made to fit easily... Jay
-
Me too mate, I will get it sorted. Hence why I am getting this spare rack to dismantle and figure it out for myself. Jay
-
Still very early in its development, but it will be detailed with projects soon. http://www.Coupehaus.co.uk Jay

The crazy thing is Doug fitted it all in and trimmed in black leather, then decided he wanted it all a different colour! Nutter! :) I must admit I am a big fan of the colour. Jay
-
How about this one then Jim. :) Sorry Doug :)
-
Doug - Start a thread in members gallery mate, to show all the work you have done. People will be blown away once they realise you actually built it all yourself. Liking the avatar mate :) Here is a pic of Doug just to show how much like Richard Hammond he does look....;) Jay

Is the new plug tight? Jay
-
I didn't miss it, but will still be watching it again as the GF is out! :)
-
Yeah I will have it if its foc. How much would you want for postage? Jay
-
The front mount has probably gone, but you will not be able to tell without having a proper look. Jay

Having just read the whole thread its quite interesting to see what has happened to all these cars a year on.... Jay
-
Very interesting cheers for updating the thread. I have exactly the same problem with mine. I bought a "rebuilt" rack off ebay and its cr@p. Everything else is brand new so I figured it was the rack, now I know! Anyone got a decent rack? How hard are they to dismantle, I am interested in your rack mate, just to do a bit of investigating! Jay

Mine is :) but I am now 24v Renshaw rather than G60 Renshaw :)

Nope, he still has it. I think he will only sell it if its worth it and it goes to someone who will cherish it. Jay

Black VR6 - Rotrex - Mapping Update on Pg 20
24V Renshaw replied to B5VWC's topic in Members Gallery
I think the car is absolutely perfect in every way, but the lights just don't match the rest of it. Main thing is you are happy though. :) Top marks for a sweet car mate. Jay -
Lippy, Its true for all tyre/wheel combos. I should really run higher pressures as they are stretched, but 28 on the rear is fine. The fronts are a touch higher as they are "pushed" a bit more and don't affect the ride as much as the rear. Drop the rear pressure down to 28/27 and you will not believe the improvement. Jay

Black VR6 - Rotrex - Mapping Update on Pg 20

That looks the nuts mate. Love it. Only thing I am not keen on is the rear lights, but otherwise mint. :) Jay -
It does make a huge difference. I remeber when I got new tyres put on at one point and they had them at 35PSI. The car drove like I was running on the rims!! Jay

When I get a VR6 - If I had 1k to mod - where to start
24V Renshaw replied to simonr's topic in General Car Chat
Just new ones from VW. Makes a huge difference if the old ones are knackered which they often are. Not that expensive, bit of a bu99er of a job to do though. Jay
