Any update on those diode part numbers, Mrbeige? Isn't there also some wire behind the stereo that has something to do with the spoiler?
-
Not sure yet- definately a couple in the summer. Would love to see her- you'll have to take me for a spin and show me what the charger can do
-
Never had to claim, but the woman who I dealt with the other day was excellent. Very impressed with the service, although, like with anywhere, it often depends who you speak to.

Welcome! How does it compare to the Polo? As for filters, BMC CDA and Carbonio CAI are the best available. Not worth getting anything that's located in the engine bay without any protection. The BMC has a carbon fibre casing and the Carbonio is routed down behind the bumper. If you can't stretch to that, get a panel filter and make your own cold air feed to the airbox. You could also make your own CAI with a cone filter and metal tubing, but that's a bit more complicated!

Think all the ones available are for early Rado's. They do fit the later spec cars, but there are slight gaps around the edges. Have a look on http://www.arztuning.de as they have all the varieties for sale, including the black ones.

No gain at all by changing both- the KR and 9A exhaust cams are identical. Just change the inlet, or, alternatively you can swap the 9A inlet for an exhaust cam. This will give more power than just swapping the inlet, but it will need modification + idle can be a bit rough. Not really worth it imho.
-
Yeh, pretty sure they are one and the same.

Jim, have you tried Adrian Flux yet? Worth a shot, and mention you're a CCGB member. Tell them you've had a quote elsewhere for around £350 and see what they can do. Also try Admiral- got the same quote from them- £331 all mods declared, fully comp, 10k miles limit, protected no claims etc. I've got seven years no claims. And that's for a VR. Don't understand your quotes at all! Bloody insurance companies- law unto themselves!

Nice one, Nik. Awesome power, and sounds fantastic!
-
I had a couple of grilles and some eyebrows painted. Grimmy and Vornwend on here have had a lot more than that done- I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you PM'd them for details :)
-
vr-man, welcome! Colour Tech in Wotton-under-Edge are good- and they're pretty experienced with Rado's ;) 3 of us on here have used them in recent times. Whereabouts in Glos are you?
-
http://www.arz-tuning.de sell the reflectors ;)
-
You can get Solitudes in 4-stud too- I'm pretty sure some MK3 Cabs had them.
-
Think a cat is required by law after August 1992. However, no MOT tester will be too bothered as long as it passes the emissions- which it probably wouldn't anyway.
-
It was also no 18 in the Top Gear Cool Cars Top 100 magazine a couple of years ago :)
-
Had a Koni kit (adjustable shocks + springs) on my last valver. Really liked them, and they weren' to expensive. Think they were around £385 delivered from Awesome GTI.
-
Just swap the cat back on before the MOT. Lots of garages are willing to do this, or do it yourself ;)
-
Yeh, agree with rodders. Fiddly job, but do-able. You'll prob need new housing, O-rings and stat.
-
BILLCOR, sorry to see that, mate :( Look on it as an opportunity ;)
-
Emphasis on the word slightly ;) Will be a different story soon though (provided we stay up!).

penfoldvr6, these ones are slightly different to the FK ones. These ones are made by ARZ Tuning, and have a darker smoke and slightly different pattern to the FK ones. Used to have the FK red/smoked on one of my previous C's. You can only get these ones from ARZ, although some have also been popping up on ebay.de.

http://www.arz-tuning.de - loads of Corrado goodies on their site 8)

herisites, Goldie's do look good... think I'd rather go with some more modern units though... I was leaning slightly towards the bottom ones before posting, and you all agree. Think I'll go for these then 8) GIXXERUK, not too sure tbh. Think 5-spoke wheels really suit the C, but I'd rather some 16's though. Also thought about getting some cheapy Speedlines and refurbing them in metallic anthracite. Decisions, decisions!

Well, we won today, which is a nice change from the norm ;) You a Spud then?
