Welcome! What model is it? Get some pics up in the gallery ;)

Thanks matey- much appreciated :) Not sure now whether the diode is actually the prob though...
-
Thanks mrbeige. Any idea what the prob with the VR's may be then, if it's not the diode?
-
Thanks, Foggystorm :) Still scares me though!

Can't make my mind up. Thought about all reds using tinting film, but I prefer the smoked look, and would rather go for proper units instead of film/paint. There's two sets of lights I've narrowed it down to. Here's a pic of my car too.

Hi Louis  , did you get those part numbers for the VR? Is it simply a case of removing the old one and soldering on the new one? Any tips for removal/soldering? I'm crap with things like this! My new VR only works from the switch, so I'm guessing this will be the prob.

Hmmm... it failed it's MOT again this morning on a broken door handle. Grrr! He promised me it would pass, so we travelled all the way up to Notts :( He was very apologetic, and has reduced the price for me. Hopefully getting it next Saturday. At least I was able to have a good look at it- very nice indeed!

:D Enjoy the drive home, Andy?

Had the same thing with Adrian Flux recently. Renewal was £490 (up at least £50 from last year). Got a quote from Admiral for £331, so Flux lowered to £378. Then told them I was a CCGB member and they dropped to £331. They are also going to waive the £25 admin fee when I swap to the VR.

easypops, no VR yet- picking it up Saturday :)
-
It's down through the little round hole in the slam panel. You'll need a long posi screwdriver to get to it.
-
Very, very nice! Has it had a respray?

If it is the fuel filter, heat up the ends of the nylon fuel lines gently with a hairdryer to help with removal, and especially for refitting them.
-
You can also do it with a thick permanent marker pen...

Exact same thing happened to my G60 when the hall sender went. Was driving along, and everything just went off, steering went heavy etc without any warning. Don't try and prise the rotor arm off, as this will dent the dizzy.

Advice on lumpy, erratic 2.0 16v - being a bit crap again..
CazzaVR replied to Jim's topic in Engine Bay
Yeh, it's 6 degrees. Defo sounds like it's overfuelling. -
Right at the back of the engine, to the right of the throttle body, under the rear plastic HT lead/guide holder. Takes a couple of minutes to remove. I'll try and find a pic for you.

DC5 Integra 350Z S2K New Scoob All these are a league up from the Mazda and CTR IMHO. Could probably get an M Coupe for that kind of money, although the running costs would be high.

Welcome! Get some pics of the VR up in the gallery :)

Slimg60, yeh, probably a mount. That is amazingly cheap for the mileage! That works out at under £2K!

Glad to see you've got another. Any pics?

Mancorr, check out mine here. No probs with MOT at all. Orange shows up fine, reverse lights are a bit dimmer but still work OK. You can 'pinstripe' them if you want with thin masking tape from Halfords.
