GIXXERUK, cheers- will try tonight :)

Oops! Meant to be in interior- having a bad day :(

Works fine on 1, 3 & 4. Any ideas?

Hmmm, hope I don't end up having to do that!

My aux water pump is knackered, so ordered a new one from ECP. Went to fit it tonight, removed old one, fitted new one. Went to plug it in, and the plugs are slightly different  My old pump has one 'ridge' on the socket, whereas the new one has two :( Gutted after spending an hour wrestling with fracking VW hose clips etc. Anyway, I'd be grateful if someone could let me know if the top one here is the one I need. I ordered the fourth one down. I would get one from a stealer, but the nearest one is 40 minutes away, and they prob won't be able to get one in time. It's kinda urgent as I need the car for next Tuesday. Cheers Crap- link doesn't go straight to the correct page- go to cooling system, then water pump ;)

Mine have arrived- I'll get some pics up later :)

Bump. Anyone?
-
Ha! Remember seeing the white one before- that home made debadged grille is fantastic! Anyone got pics of the 'White Storm' Tippex edition?

Look at the Passat, and then look at your C. No competition. All the new VW's are nice, comfortable and refined and some are very quick, but tbh, they're all a little dull. I love our vRS- perfect for long family journey, quick, looks good etc, but the C is in a different league for character, looks and performance. As the others have said, we all go through this stage of wanting a change for various reasons, but it really pays to wait a while. Your car is superb- the engine install looked factory at the RR day, would be a real shame to get rid of such a fantastic mota and replace it with some modern VW that you see in droves every time you drive. You'd defo regret it!

Looks superb. Like the grille with just the badge and not the spoiler. -
Corrado_Addict, nice to see someone's still reading my threads after all this time! Good grief, Bally, those are truly terrible! The red one is hilarious! Why oh why?!

Hi matey! Yeh, couldn't resist :) Was a real bargain too. Sounds like you've done a lot to yours! I've got Koni coilovers on mine, and I'd thotoughly recommend them- not too firm at all.
-
Jim, you're on mate. If my local guy can't sort it, I'll be off to Stealth. Would be good to meet up. Goldie, cheers matey. Gonna go with black - pretty sure I've got a tin of Hammerite in the garage ;)
-
Just checked in my manual- it's the blue/white wire- engine speed sensor or something. Where should this be? Doesn't look like mine is attached to anything.
-
Tend to agree with you Rodders- think I'll go with black. I'll hopefully get it plugged in tomorrow sometime. I'll get some more pics up soon. Dave, yeh it's taken a while! Jim, you're entering a world of pain ;) Nice avatar. I really don't think it's anything serious- just needs a good service etc. I'm hoping anyway!

Finally got it yesterday! Well pleased :) However, there's always a catch  It's developed a misfire. Because of this it doesn't like a cold start, and won't hold idle until warm. Has also cut out a couple of times. Worst thing though, is the bonnet release won't work, so I can't even see if the coil pack/leads are sparking, or check the MAF. Tried all the tricks in the Wiki, but it won't budge. Will have to take it to a garage. Good start eh? Anyway, done my first mods (pics below). Other mods for the near future: ARZ Tuning tails Chome VR6 grille badge Detailed headlights Painted calipers- they're a horrible light blue colour at the mo'. Black or red?

That's one of my fav posts of all time!

That's impressive! Reminds me of my Grandad with his old mini- £29!!!
-
Looks really nice! Well done, mate :)
-
LJ, will do! oxfordpaul, nice one- interested to see how they'll go with the Aqua Blue- should look 8)

Think it's the chain wheel that needs to be machined in some way. Stealth do it- they may even already have some made up for exchange.
-
Bristol Volksfest and E38 are most likely for me- I'll let you know nearer the time ;)

Ordered the smoked/red set yesterday from ARZ Tuning. Also ordered a chrome VR6 Grille badge for around 20 Euros- better than spending £50 on Fleabay!
