Anyone got any idea what might be the prob with mine? Wiring? Or maybe someone unplugged something when messing around with the stereo or something :?
-
Not getting any light from these. Have changed the bulbs but no joy. Don't think it's a fuse as the other interior lights are working fine. Any ideas before I go ripping the whole lot out to have a proper look? Cheers!

trebor, Hi! Is it mystic blue? Remember seeing a mystic blue Storm by Westgate a while back. Other than that, I haven't seen you- have to keep an eye out! :D There are quite a few in Canters- at least 5.

Just take 'em off altogether! Car looks so much smoother without 8) . You especially notice the difference when you've done just one side- you'll realise just how ugly they actually are. As others have said use hot water + heat gun/hairdryer :) .

Hmmm... bit strange :? Maybe it would be worth just going for one of the CAI's that are always on US Ebay. At least the pipes would be the correct length, and if the filter is shite I can just bin it and get a K & N. In theory this should be such a simple mod to do  Could it be done with some Samco? Never had any experience with it, but it would be easy to make it fit. Just depends how rigid and heat resistant it is.

So, am guessing that you'll need the straight bit and the 90 degree bend + the fitting kit. All for well under £50. Then all you need is any old K & N with 80mm fitment.

Monday, twilight violet C with a loud exhaust in Blackwood, South Wales. Loud exhausts and sunstrips seem to be the order of the day there, no matter what the car is :?

To the right of the block, sort of slightly above and behind the dizzy. Just pull the hoses off and unplug the electrical bit.
-
Nice! Will invest in a set shortly :)

2 yesterday, 1 today. Red C on Broad Oak Rd, Canterbury around 10.20 in the morning- pulled out from the Toral garage a couple of cars behind me. Dark Blue VR heading away from Potters Bar towards the motorway at around 12.30pm. Was behind a black M reg VR with silver badging in St Stephens, Canterbury at around 12 pm today- flashed lights and you waved :)

It must have been chipped to bring it up to TT 225 bhp spec- same engine. Will almost definately get one of these as my next car. An estate in Ebony Black 8) As others have said, you get sooo much for your money. Basically an A4 or Passat for half the dosh. 0-60 mph in 7.9 secs standard car. Tonnes of tuning potential with that engine too. Skoda were also voted no. 2 dealers in the Top Gear survey.

The 2.0 8v is gonna be by far the best. Then the 16v's. Regularly used to get 37+ from my valvers on the motorway (sometimes 40+). Got 53 out of my G60 once at a very steady 50mph, but it was usually 35+ on the motorway. VR's best was 37 on a steady run, but normally around 30-33 on the motorway and mid twenties on shorter runs.

M15 VW, glad it's nearly sorted- looks 8) with those rims. Pleased that the engine is still sweet :D
-
M15 VW, Yep  REALLY regret selling it now :( Seemed the sensible thing to do at the time  :? My current VR is nice, but I had really nice wheels, leather, induction kit, not to mention the gorgeous colour with the old one :( You live and learn. Glad you've resurrected it though! :D

TomB, go for it mate!
-
I'm after something like this too - CAI kits are an absolute rip off for what they are. Alex, would these places have aluminium stuff as well as the stainless steel?
-
TomB, nice mota! Reminded me of my lovely old blackberry VR. Could do with a bonnet respray though
-
Saw a blackberry VR in York parked near to the Mickle Gate on Thursday. Was on school journey and was very proud of the kids when they all started shouting "Mr Carrick, look a Corrado!!!" The only part of the car showing was the bonnet and front wheel- I've been teaching them well  Had grey leather and the back of the driver's seat had been re-trimmed with purple leather- looked 8) Passenger seat and door card missing. Private plate C****. Bling wheels and red callipers. Nice car :)

Dark (blue or black) L reg around 6pm today through Blackheath, London. Was a few cars ahead so couldn't see what type it was.

You can get the allen key from halfords.

RobW, you can raise the boost loads with the Bren device.... surely you could get 220 just by doing the 'Free Boost Upgrade', so with the Bren device, colder plugs, decat etc you'd be well over 250 at least :?: Never had a 200, but did a lot of reading up on http://www.sxoc.co.uk when I was going to buy one. How was the S13 in the wet? Mate told me yesterday that she passed a S14 crashed into the central reservation facing the wrong way- it was pouring with rain :? She said the young driver was standing next to it looking very puzzled
-
Magnex 8) The mechanic who fitted the Magnex to my old 16v said it was the best quality exhaust he'd ever fitted. Looks slightly better than the Milltek too IMO.
-
Yeh, have heard the S13 was a bit fragile- nice rusty tailgates too! :? How does the C compare in performance? The only S14 I've driven had uprated dampers and springs- felt really tight and very fast. The good thing is it doesn't cost much to tune them- bren device, colder plugs, panel filter and decat all for under £200 giving upwards of 260bhp- fantastic- all through the rear wheels too so you can actually use that power
-
   Yeh, pretty close really. Would love the luxury of having 2 such capable cars at my disposal! I'm only jealous mate  Wonder how different the in gear acceleration times would be.
-
Sh*t! Slow 0-60mph times  Was your Mum driving?
