That's not bad considering you're both under 25. They seem quite flexible and have let me off the £15 admin fee for changes etc several times
-
LOL  they've been very understanding! Determined to stick with this one now- gonna try and keep it forever- in a year or two I want to garage it and only bring it out for special occasions :D

That's pretty competetive! I should have shopped around really- just didn't have the time :( Maybe your age has something to do with the low quote, Rodders. Tried SAGA yet?

It does seem to vary slightly between different insurers. Most have the 2.016v and the G60 as group 17. 2.0 8v group 16, 1.8 16v group 15 and the VR group 18 with Storms being group 19! Just renewed with Adrian Flux for £530 fully comp, named driver, protected no claims, parked on street. Not too bad I suppose. Mind you, they quoted £700 for the valver with all it's mods! Glad I changed cars

Green M-reg VR6 on the inside lane of the motorway near Bluewater. I was next to you in the middle lane, but you didn't seem to notice! Then you turned off before Medway.

Cheers mate, Think I'll pop it along to a local sprayer and get that professional opinion!

Got the new VR :D 8) fantastic to be back behind the wheel of such an amazing car  Anyway, the paint on the bonnet is really dull- seems like the laquer has come off. Don't really know much about paint! Is there a cheaper solution than having the bonnet resprayed? The rest of the paint work is excellent. Cheers guys

That's fine! The VR engine generates loads of heat- only need to worry if it regularly goes up over 120.

Would love to know where my old G60 is now: J18 ACC, Aqua blue, sold summer 2002. Looked standard apart from eyebrow spoiler and half smoked rear lights. Sold to a guy in Bristol.

My cousin's Carrera 4- awesome! Other than that, my blackberry VR with induction kit was great. My new VR is good too, and also the Nissan 200SX S14A which I nearly bought was superb.

Have you tried changing the throttle bellows/dashpot thingy? Think Kev did this a while back and cured his stalling.
-
Yeh, kinda mellow 8) (apart from the first album)
-
Yeh, know what you mean. Nice to see someone has similar taste to me! Everyone usually says 'who?' when I talk about music, and when they hear it they say it's crap rave stuff! For me, you can't beat the early 1990's Warp stuff: LFO, Nightmares on Wax, Black Dog, B12, Aphex, Autechre etc.

Nice one! :D What's Ultravisitor like? Is the Manitoba album any good? Got the first one.

Nah, think they were all chrome. You can buy black replacements though. Sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong

Saw a nice black M reg VR6 with chrome badges parked in Whitstable on Wednesday. Almost every day exchange waves with a pearl green VR L-reg going through Chartham Hatch. Hi!
-
Hmmm, think they have a point here! When I bought my blackberry VR6, I gave it a good clean in and out and actually found a small bag of coke under the driver's seat  Straight in the bin.

Remember seeing a feature on Top Gear about nugget yellow Corrado's. Was a LONG time ago- possibly early 1990's. It was something about the colour/depreciation- can't remember exactly what though!

Difficult to get hold of. IMHO the Schabak ones are the best, but not sure if they make them anymore. Ebay's your best bet.
-
1.8 16v is group 15 insurance whereas 2.016v is group 17 (same as G60). So, if you're worried about insurance the 1.8 is the one to go for. Personally though, I'd pay a few quid more and get a late 2.016v with late interior.

Cheers mate! Think the SX is a VERY underrated car. Exactly. Would be great to take out for a weekend burn or trackday, but wouldn't want one for everyday use. Apparently the road noise is appalling. My VTI-S had the same engine and although it was very rapid, you really did have to concentrate to keep the revs in v-tec. It becomes sooo wearing having to really thrash a car all the time to drive quickly. No doubt about the handling though- they get at least as much praise as the C in this department.

Yeh, paid deposit on an absolutely beautiful one in black and the guy went missing with both money and car :( I still have all it's old MOT's and the green new owner part of the V5. Won't go into too much detail 'cos the police are on the case  As Jim said, managed to snap up Mark16v's old car. It's a beaut, but I am missing the power of the VR (or an SX). I was sooo impressed with the SX and I still want one. Wouldn't go for a 'Teg-R - no torque and tiring to drive.
-
Leon Cupra Scooby Nissan 200SX (you could get v.low milage only a couple of years old for that money :) 8) ) You can get 270bhp out of these for £200!!! Gotta say by the way that your C is one of the best looking around 8) Sure you're ready to let it go?

My wife's parents live in Blackwood and the place is absolutely crawling with Max Power Muppets  Every other car has a sunstrip and a tin can exhaust! Anyone seen that Rustlers Microwave ad?
