Sh*t! Fast 0-60mph times  Are they both turbo'd?
-
Scott, know all too well how you feel mate :? There is no substitute for the C!
-
0-60mph their isn't much difference between the C and a 1.6 or 1.8 VTI. 0-100mph the 1.6 would be a long way back as it really runs out of grunt at about 80mph. The real difference is the torque- 1.6 VTI is 160 BHP which is damn impressive for a 1.6... but the torque is 113 lb/ft  If you get caught in the wrong gear, you're stuffed. I remember being killed by a Polo once  The VTEC is quite cool when you're in the mood, but day to day it gets tiring. The 1.8 was better IMO. Not quite as fast to 60mph, but quite a bit more torquey (still not enough) and it pulled well even after 100mph. Had an AEM cold air intake (wish they made these for the C- quality kit!) and when the VTEC kicked in it sounded 'almost' like a Ferarri  The build of the Civic is decent enough, but nowhere near as nice and solid as the C. That said, NOTHING ever went wrong on either of my Civics, and that is where they beat the C hands down. But that's not enough- the C wins easily in every other department 8)

Anyone know a safe way to clean the maf :?: I'm assuming my car is still on it's original maf, which means it's covered over 200K- must be pretty grimy by now.
-
Got mine today- well done Jim, looks great! :D
-
Dr mat beat me to it- was gonna say maf sensor. The exact same thing used to happen on my first VR until I got the maf sorted. My current VR is a bit juddery and jerks a bit when you lift off the throttle- mostly in the lower gears. Reckon the maf is probably pretty dirty. Don't want to risk giving it a clean in case I damage it :?

Decat and definately go for the chip and smaller pulley- makes a big difference  Wouldn't really bother with the induction kit- go for a panel filter and a JMR cold air feed instead. What sort of 200SX were you driving? S13, S14, S14A? What mods did you have? Love the SX S14A. Would like a low mileage one but the pennies can't stretch at the mo' :(

C every time :D Had a little spat with a BMW 528 the other day- he floored it and tried to pull away- I stayed with him, then he had to move over as I shot past   He overtook me a bit later when I was cruising- looked like he wanted another go, but the race had already been won

Dark coloured 16v/G60 (?) coming down the hill through Chartham Hatch towards Chrysler/Lotus garage between 4 and 5pm yesterday. Gave me a wave :D
-
 It's sooo tempting to do something like this... would really serve him right!
-
junbao, Top idea mate!

Had a Spax 40mm lowing set (shocks and springs) on my first 16v with 15" wheels and the ride was terrible! Very crashy and harsh. Didn't like 'em at all.
-
Exactly
-
chrishill, this sort of thing does seem to be happening more and more. How could anyone fall for this though? Surely no one would let their car go without the monies clearing first?! Or is he gonna try and nick it? dr_mat, I wasn't thinking of actually doing that for a moment, although it would be good to try and 'disuade' him from trying to rip people off somehow. Doubt very much that the police would take any sort of interest :?
-
Like your style
-
Car looks stunning matey! :D Fantastic wheels! 8) Smoked repeaters and smoked tail lights would finish the car off nicely 8) You could do the rears yourself for £15 ish... if I can do it, anyone can!

Sorry mate, I was a bit unclear... meant try painting the eyebrow bit first- someone else has suggested this in the other thread too :)
-
Hmmm... would think it would look great with either. You could try the eyebrow bit on it's own first to see how it looks
-
Yeh, get rid of the side strips- v.ugly- looks so much smoother without 8) Why don't you get the grill and headlamp surrounds colour coded too? 8)
-
Reckon the Turn 2 CAI or the BMC are the way to go... expensive though. Have considered making one myself, but dunno where to get hold of the right length bits of aluminium :?

Awesome track! Been rediscovering Insides lately, as well as listening to the new Blue album, which is sooo much better then The Altogether (IMHO of course). Also been listening to: Keane Plaid- Spokes Massive Attack- Mezzanine & 100th Window Roy Ayers- A Shining Symbol
-
Always liked this one 8) http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=100 Also, Bill Aitken's 'cos it's in unbelievable condition- the engine is sooo clean. The TT interior in Jay's is a bit special too. Could go on and on - there's sooo many nice C's on the forum :D
-
Combination of hot water and hairdryer! Works a treat. Heat with hairdryer and ease the first bit off, pooring the water over the back of the strip at the same time :D

Tomson, was it mystic blue? Remember seeing a mystic blue Storm in Ciren a couple of years ago- have never seen another C, let alone a Storm in Cirencester before!
