Just get rid of the chicken :lol: Sounds like mounts. Gonna be checking mine today as there seems to be a lot of engine movement. They're all new (last few months)- suspect they may be loose.

They drive pretty well - nippy and good handling. However... very unreliable and have a very girly image. As above, I'd go for an MR2 every day of the week. Alternatively, the MX5 is a fabulous mota...

Right, given it plenty of thought, and have decided to keep her for a few more months at least. It's such a good 'un, and I waited so long for a Mystic Storm, I want to give it a bit more time.

Think you maybe onto something Jim! Always drive with the lights on at the mo, and that coincides chronologically with when the problem started. When I got home tonight, the temp was 108 with lights on. Turned engine & lights off, then engine on again straight away (no lights) and it was reading 100. Also seems to change when I cycle through the MFA. For example, if it's on 82 and I cycle through the options, when I get back to oil temp it goes up to 86 in less than five seconds. VERY ODD!

Evening all, Since getting the car back from my local garage, I've noticed the oil temps have risen considerably. They are up approx 15c. Have had a good look around and the only thing I noticed was that the Mocal cooler mounting (bottom right as you look at the car) has broken. The Mocal seems to have some oil on it, so think it might have a slight leak. Any ideas? Could this be the cause of my sudden high oil temps? Do these block up? Are they easy enough to remove and clean? Can you replace the bottom mounts? Water temp seems to be the same as usual, and oil pressure seems normal, although I'm keeping an eye on it. Am planning to change the water pump soon (just precautionary).

Not dead keen on the look of the MKV GTI though. Prefer the Curpra-R. Just looks a bit different, and definitely more aggressive. Less common too... Hi Dave- been a while! How are you? Missing the Rado? Dibs if you're serious... Still haven't decided yet though ;)

The Local Longlife place (used to be Berkeley, Glos, but think it's moved) has excellent technicians. Been very impressed with their workmanship and knowledge. However, the manager it a tit- he peed me off so much I won't go back again while he's still there.

Yep, clunking gone, all tickety-boo 8) I'll be honest though, think I'm losing the love. Not gonna make a snap descision, but feel like I'm all Corrado'd out now. Would like something more modern as a daily- maybe a MK1 LCR...
