  1. Fairly cheap new here: http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=647
  2. Phil, the only difference is that the bit that slots under the back seat has 4 bolt holes for the middle armrest to attach. The one we have is for the flat rear bench and only has two holes. I don't think it would be a big deal to get it to fit. Let me know if you want it. Do you also want the black carpet/sill trims? Middle pic on post #4.
  3. No worries Dave- they get very brittle! Will order one from VW...

    Running lumpy

As above, check the airbox. Unplug the sensor in the side of it and make sure it's totally dry.
  5. Very nice mate. Where are the plates from/how much?
  6. Welcome- look forward to seeing how this turns out! Any pics?
  7. Maybe it could take my duplicate spot? I agree, it's a good shot...
  8. Awesome! Just ordered- I'm on there twice! 8)
  9. Hi Dave, if it's pretty decent and not too brittle, I'd be interested. Let me know mate.
  10. I'll have it Charlie! Can you pm me your address please mate?
  11. Thanks Brian, just wondering if anyone has one lying around...
  12. One of mine has broken, so the reflector is flapping around and the lamp aim is too high. Anyone got one laying around (preferably new)? I'll get one from the stealer if no one has one, as I'm pretty sure they're still available and cheap, but it will be a while before I can get there.
  13. Thanks chaps. Aye, nice and simple for a change! Feeling more positive about the car at the mo. It drives so well now with the 3.68 etc 8)
  14. Took it back to the garage this morning and Rich spotted the prob- turns out the bolt for the front mount was too long. Even though it was done up tight, the bolt was still sat a few mm too high in the mount itself, leaving a gap for the engine to move. Rich kindly sorted it with a couple of washers. All good now- enjoyed the drive home! 8)
  15. Nice one 8) Amazing job you've done there! If you want to change the thread title, go to the first post-edit-advanced-type in new title :)

    Body Mods,

Never a fan of aftermarket bodykits etc, but think these look superb and oem http://www.optikwerks.com/Corrado/ABTRepSideSkirts/index.html Would have these if I had the dosh. Would also have the spoonfed extended spoiler. That would be it. Also a fan of black VW badges and red tail lights. OEM+ all the way 8)
  17. Please follow the rules above /\/\/\
  18. 10 minutes to fit, dead easy. Will sound great, but will probably harm your performance unless you have a good heatshield. You're much better off with a K&N panel filter in the standard airbox, or with a BMC CDA, which is enclosed, or a Carbonio which is routed through the carbon canister hole and out of the engine bay. Trust me, my first VR had one when I bought it and the car felt loads better (smoothness, throttle response) when I fitted a standard airbox and paper filter!
  19. The orange stuff from the dealers is apparently identical to 'Dissolv-it' which can be had from supermarkets (think it was in the washing powder/stain remover section). Works really well, although you still need plenty of elbow grease!
