  1. Don't think so- they are different numbers to the 'inner' ones + the pic in Vagcat looks different. There is a 'left outer', 'left inner' & 'right outer', 'right inner'.
  2. Just looked on Vagcat and they have them listed for both sides. The outer ones are: 535881098 01C & 535881097 01C Never noticed them on mine- will have a look tomorrow. Like James says, I always thought the outer ones were covered by carpet.
  3. Hi Kieron, I bought your old VR from Jon around 3 years ago. I sold it 18 months ago to LauraJ on here, but it's now with someone else. Laura will know.
  4. Nice one- thanks for letting me know :) One left...
  5. Collected a seat from Charlie (Chazrad) today. Many thanks mate- really good to catch up!
  6. Amazed this pic didn't make the calendar! Stunning pic mate 8)
  7. Sorry it's gone. You can still get them from VW for under £20 ;) ---------- Post added at 12:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:10 PM ---------- Laurence, the only bits we've still got are the carpet/sill trims. Yours if you want them. Will check out the rear centre tunnel part and see if it still has the front bit that splits off.
  8. To change the title, go to edit post, then advanced ;) Yep, the chrome scripts/grille badges etc appeared in around 1993, a year or so after the facelift. Hence a lot of earlier VR6s have colour coded scripts and red VR6 badges etc :)
  9. Yep, just held together by some small screws. The filter slides out- I use the K&N cleaning kit you get in Halfords every 10K or so.

Yep, think they're all the same now.

Easy to replace. Undo the top bolt in the middle. Undo the two smaller bolts either side. Jack up gearbox. Remove. Refit. You can get a new one from VW. Worth getting a solid MK2 golf mount instead, rather than a Corrado hydro one.
  12. Excellent news Andy 8) Sounds like you've had an amazing (busy!) year. Brilliant that the Alpine will have somewhere nice to live. Lovely car- looking forward to seeing some pics of it- it's been too long!

    9a radiator

Pretty sure I've got one knocking around in the garage.
  14. Cleaned up the plugs the other day as they were filthy and wiring looked good. Will have a closer inspection at the weekend. Interesting idea about unplugging the lights- will have a look. Could it be anything to do with the uprated loom I wonder. Jim, does yours have an uprated loom?
  15. Have retitled the thread. Had another play with this at the weekend. Used the car without headlights in the day, came to a stop and the oil temp was 100C. Switched lights on, cycled through the MFA and back to oil temp... 112c! This is crazy- anyone got any ideas?
  16. As above- my bet is ignition switch :)
  17. 2 litres of GB oil required. Lots of decent engine oils available- worth having a look on Opie. However, you can't go wrong with Quantum Silver 10W 40 from VW. Cheap as chips and perfect for the Rado.
