Thanks chaps- now sorted! :) Daren, I owe you a beer next time I see you- fits on with the slave cylinder bolts as you say. The rest of the bracket then holds the loom above the gear cables.
-
You could make it work, but I think it would really get on your nerves eventually. The worst thing is practically having to climb into the back to strap them in every time. Grrrr! I've only still got the Rado because we've got an Octavia estate. If we had one car, the Rado would definitely go I'm afraid :(

Hi mate, Got A, B, C pillar trims, Late dash, carpet (has a couple of minor rips- easily fixed with carpet tape underneath), centre tunnel parts, rear ashtray. £70 for all the parts +postage. Would think it will need to go on a pallet as the dash is very big. Will check out prices for you. Don't have boot carpet (may have the side parts though) or rear parcel shelf supports/speakers.

Yep, will get a pic tomorrow. Thanks mate.

Thanks bud- doesn't sound quite right though... reckon it must be on the gearbox somewhere or on the side of the block. At present it's just flapping about near the stat housing/gearbox cables.

Nope, don't think so. Dave used to do the custom mapping...

Just had the gearbox refitted and discovered that the metal bracket that is attached to the fan loom is now unattached. Any ideas where this bolts on? Cheers!

Don't think you can do it on the 9a- don't think it has a WUR?
-
Best mod you can do for a 9a engine- do it! Gas flowed, port-matched head/manifold also works well.

Overpriced IMHO! I paid considerably less for mine- 2 previous owners, 124K on the clock, superb service history etc, BUT chains/clutch done, 288 & MK4 rears etc etc. You never know, someone may pay that, but really don't think it's worth more than around £3.5K.

Bodywork recommendations, in Oxford/Oxfordshire or thereabouts?

Looks good Andy. Glad it's sorted 8) -
Welcome! My advice would be to drive a couple of examples of both before you decide. Personally, I'd go VR6. More refined, more power out of the box, amazing sound etc. The later interior/switchgear is also nicer and much more modern in feel. Go for the more desirable black interior if you can, unless you can find some beige Recaros ;)

Get them from VW. Not cheap though!

Finally got mine sorted- was the o/s/f bearing + hub. Bearing knackered, hub worn. The n/s bearing started to go a couple of days before it was due to go in, so got that done at the same time.

A small packet of an illegal substance! Class A! Found under the seat in my first VR.

Just had the 'testtables' thing happen again :( -
Welcome! :)

OK Ian, they're yours. Already boxed up, waiting to go.

Think there are a few threads on this over at http://www.vr6oc.com If used as a daily I'd go 3.68. Think people tend to use the 3.9 V5 for trackday/weekend cars.

Guys, I really can't be bothered to split it I'm afraid- that's the main reason I'm selling as a box-load. I need the space. £15 takes it.
