  1. Worth checking the VT mount- I've had one fail before. The new GB mount and VT mount may well have caused the rear mount to wear more quickly too. Pop the handbrake on, put car in first and gently lift clutch up to biting point. With the bonnet up you should be able to see the top of the engine through the windscreen while you do this. This will show excessive movement straight away.
  2. Aother Hammer? Didn't want the stadium before, but since that opening ceremony, I think it would be amazing for us! Retractable seating over the track should work well. Would attract investors to the club and give us some clout. COYI!
  3. Thought the opening ceremony was incredible! Quite moving in places, very British. Loved the inclusion of 'Bubbles' too- nice nod to the Hammers. The forging of the Olympic rings was mind blowing and the torch was amazing as well. Also liked the focus on music. Danny Boyle and Underworld did us proud.
  4. Wow! Amazing work mate- will be totally worth the effort when it's all back together 8) Don't think it matters which way round the gb mount goes. I would use a thin bead of sealant with the gasket.
  5. 39 years old, had my Storm for just over a year, been a Corrado owner for 11 years (had 12, if you include 2 breakers).
  6. Pretty sure the result would be minimal Ian. May be worth a try though if you can do it at work.
  7. Glad you've found the cause of the prob so quickly. Bet that cam will make a nice difference 8) Well done on getting in there- think I'd be too scared to do that myself!

    Left rear seat

    Got a doorcard. PMd.
  9. He he! No such troubles without it, so once it's fitted you're in trouble!
  10. Different wheels mate!
  11. Thanks mate. Always happens when I reverse out of the garage in the morning and then turn. Also happens when I reverse out at work at the end of the day. Very occasionally happens when driving. My local garage thought it may be the bearings. I'm gonna check all the bolts around/on the steering/knuckle when it's in for the MOT.
  12. Thanks Oz. Looking forward to seeing your new blackberry 8) Berkeley is reallly shaping up- really looking forward to it! A lil update! Have bought a gearbox that was removed from a Vento VR6. Gonna get it rebuilt with a 3.68 final drive in August. It's filthy, but have given it a blast with the pressure washer this morning, so it's looking a bit more presentable! Have decided not to go for a lightened flywheel or TDi 5th gear. Gonna keep it simple as it's a daily. Reckon the lightened fly might get a little tiresome in traffic on a daily basis! The car is filthy at the mo- needs a good clean so I can get some decent pics with the new wheels. Still getting a click from the front end - will hopefully find what it is when it gets MOTd next week.

    AP Coilovers?

Never had them, but know a lot of Skoda vRS owners have them and rate them highly. Made in the same factory as KW and Weitec. All the same company AFAIK, bit similar to VAG- all good quality, but KW are more expensive for a reason.
  14. It's the high starting price. If you said something like 'so let's start off at £60 the pair' you wouldn't have had the negative reaction. I know you want to get the most you can, which is fair enough, but I think you also need to take account of the response- this is a pretty easy-going forum and this sort of reaction is a rarity. Only happens when people feel strongly. Giving a price of £100 then saying 'All sensible offers considered' will leave potential buyers thinking you'll maybe drop to £85-90 at best, which is still way over the top. Remember, you have an edit button! Let me know if you want to start again and I can clean the thread up for you :)
  15. On the passenger side it should feed through a little trumpet which has a tiny nut. Undo the nut and pull the cable through to tighten. Do nut up again. 5 minute job :)
  16. All the 4-cyl ones are the same. VR front and rear are different. It's so confusing

I bet that guy has a set of Speedlines in the back for the drive home...
  18. Sounds good to me! When you thinking?
