Aqua K plate 16v today 10:30 am on the M5, then parked outside Halfords/Best Buy a few minutes later. You followed me out of the carpark (I was in a black Octy vRS estate). Was very low on RS4 alloys with Inpro tails. Looked nice, even in the mucky weather!

Left my lights on a few weeks ago and drained the battery. Charged it and it was OK again- noticed that the Clifford alarm started to beep afterwards, whereas it had always been silent before. After a couple of weeks, the alarm stopped beeping when the button was pressed, but everything else seemed to be working fine. In the last few days though, the voltage on the volt gauge dropped to around 10.5 with the ignition on (no seemingly adverse effects on starting etc though). When the engine iwas started, the voltage barely changed at all. Tried charging it again, and it stayed the same. Thought the battery was done for, so changed it under warranty at Halfords. The alarm beeps are back again, however, the voltage is still the same 10.5-11v on the gauge! I HATE electrics and don't have a voltmeter. Anyone got any idea what's going on? Could the gauge be faulty? Could there be a drain from something like the alarm? Surely a brand new battery would show up as 12v iand jump up to around 14 on start up?

Bet you can't wait to get it back! I'd go for leather with the undertrays- will look more in keeping with the rest of the interior.

Just get the rad fixings shotblasted/powdercoated. Otherwise try VW, or daves16v has done stainless ones in the past- may be worth giving him a shout to see if he still does them ;)

Congratulations Jay 8)

Have a look in here mate ;) http://wiki.the-corrado.net/the_corrado_buying_guide_checklist.html

Agreed- don't have any probs with mine. With decent LEDs they are great too. Only time mine weren't great was when I used green bulbs with all reds (no pinstripes)- you could barely see them when it was sunny!

 Some incriminating evidence...

Here's a pic for you of the pinstriped lights- it's only the indicator and reverse sections that are pinstriped, so it's quite subtle http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?25098-Cazza-s-Storm-New-Paint!-Yipeeeeee!/page96&highlight=cazza%27s+cars post #960

Jake, it's not that kind of thread... did this all happen up at Birdlip viewpoint?

Long time matey! Huge congratulations! He's a little cutie 8)

Red tails on a black C looks the nuts! 8) I would pinstripe the indicator part and the reverse part though. Otherwise, you'll have to paint the indicator bulbs green (not ideal) of fit bright orange LEDs with resitors. You can get the pinstripe tape from Halfords. A couple of coats of lacquer is worth doing too ;) Here's my last VR with red tails http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?25098-Cazza-s-Storm-New-Paint!-Yipeeeeee!/page77&highlight=cazza%27s+cars There are also some pics earlier on of my black 16v with the red tails and later pics of my current Storm with the red pinstriped tails :)

Yeh, just paid- thanks again Neil. Been after a black badge for ages 8)

Nice one, Andy! Such a nice car 8)
-
Exactly- was pretty lacklustre :( I laughed at the brakes/horn, but that was about it. The whole train/dinner party section was awful. Agree about the cars too- such a waste :(
-
Thanks for the update- really glad it's sorted for you :)

Think he's after the full carpet, not just mats ;)
-
Sounds very sinister! Don't tell him, Jim!

Nice one Neil- thanks for sorting this 8) Could please have: Rear VW badge (black) Rear VR6 badge Also, do you have a pic of the glovebox cover strip? I've found it on vagcat, but still not sure whether I have one or not. Ta :)

I agree about it being too contrived, and they've moved too far away from being a proper car show. They have also become extremely smug, rather like Gervais/Merchant. Shame. Will be watching though- the foreign specials are usually excellent.

Innit! Get me bruv?

Who left the doors open then, Jacob?

Changed the driver's side handbrake cable (advisory from MOT). The plastic end piece decided to stay in the metal tube  All fitted and OK now. Changed bulb in the instrument panel. Started to treat some rust under the rear of the sills. Looked like it might be pretty bad underneath, but once I'd stripped the underseal, I was pleasantlly surprised at the lack of rot. Only some surface stuff that I ground off with a drill. Primed it with antirust primer, ready for a coat of Rustoleum, followed by underseal and then paint 8)
