  1. Do u mean u got the 'main' set, and the expansion set for 15 notes? Anyways, I needed to get mine but if you go through this website PentagonDirect, and use the code MVCTWELVE you get a nice 12% discount, you get em both for £27.86 delivered. Obviously this code can be used on other items as well :D
  2. But smelling f-f-fresh!!
  3. Yeh 28 doesn't sound too bad if ur keeping over and around 2.5k!
  4. Yes mate thanks for goin' out at this time to do that! Although I say it helps, Im still undecided!! Im edging more towards red...simply for my headunit being blue and clocks being blue, think it'd contrast well...HMMMMM....
  5. Hmm good idea, I did want a combo ideally. When I get a headunit I want blue illumination, have blue on the clocks, red on the LCD's so was going more towards red switches, it also seems a little more OE? I heard heater dials are a biatch to change over tho? Mate if you would that would be awesome! I've seen a couple of photos but not many seem to be good quality (as it's dark and focus is out etc) Realise it might be a bit late now but I was watchin' Man Utd stuff AC!!
  6. Lookin' forward to seeing these mate!! Can't believe u got em for diddly squat, good times!! :D
  7. Is yours a late model? Im guessing since its VR then it is. The mirror switch contains SMDs and are a complete PITA to replace, the window switches are easy to do, likewise with the dash switches (i know because ive replaced all mine with blue LEDs). As Kempy says, you prise the handle cover off, undo the 2 large screws and you can unclip the switch! :) Yeh, bit stupid of me really seeing as I took it off t'other day. All I had to do was go down to the car and have a look  All sorted now tho. Not sure whether to go all red or all blue...
  8. U don't need the door off? So I can just pull the switch out?
  9. Right, Im taking all my switches out for changing the LED's inside. My query: Does the doorcard NEED to come off to get the mirror switch out? And before anyone says, I have the 2 window switches out already Basically can't be arsed to take the doorcard off again, but obviously will if necessary!!
  10. Was there any need to renew the pistons or did u use the old ones?
  11. Yeh I reckon they'd look pretty smart too :shades:
  12. Nice! Always a pleasure, never a chore  A lot of people rate the KW's too, I for one love mine
  13. I wouldnt worry too much mate, Ive found the pricing in the dealers to be up & down something terrible, it can even depend whos on the parts desk on any given day how much discount I get. What I have found is if I go in armed with a price for the same part from somewhere else i.e. TPS, then my dealer will try & get as close as possible to it, this has worked for a few things with the dealer price matching for me on stuff like timing chain kit for my old charged mk2 VR. Like I say though it can depend whos on the desk & whether they like your face or not  Just like the other week when I went into the tyre place for a couple of front tyres, they quoted me £120 & I said naaaaa! I can get em for £100 10 mins down the road, guy says gimme 2 mins & comes back & says OK £100 it is 8) thing is I lied & the other place had quoted me £120 too     Like me old mum always said "if you dont ask you dont get" Good man! :salute: And as an old wise man used to say, "He who dares Rodney my son, he who dares"
  14. That list of work you're having done looks like porn to me right now!! I need an overhaul but unfortunately money only allows little bits at a time... :( When's the car in?
  15. Yeh just a bit of trouble getting to the hole, im sure I can manage thanks :salute:
  16. There's an "expansion set" u can buy which has all the missing links
  17. Found these at quite a good price on ebay Less than £16 delivered, and this isn't the expansion set.
  18. Unfortunately he's split his (!) and thrown it away!! You'll need to sort this as you'll get chaffing of all the wires on the bulkhead and water ingress too no doubt. Could be a right bugger to sort now as you'll have to find the ends of the other wires, or you could (bodge it!) chop and resplice them inside the car, obviating the need to waterproof the joints. I have also put a dob (technical term ) of sealant over the wires/grommet as with more than one wire going through the grommet you'll never get a perfect seal without it. You may as well just cut a cross in the new grommet bang the wires through and add sealant. 8) Yeh thought of bodging before I split my ring ( ) but also thought "Nah, I can do it!!" - but blatantly couldn't! Any chance of finding out what size the grommet is?! Anyone?! Or I may have to start searching my neighbours gardens
  19. Right did all my wiring today. One problem was that the grommet was already being used by an alarm wire and 2 others which Im unsure of. The hole in the grommet was very tight, and accessing it was very hard. I pushed my power cable through from the passenger footwell, and the grommet shot off into the engine bay along the wires already going through it. After a very long time of swearing, and cutting my hands up, and getting cramp, I managed to successfully split the grommet trying to get the power cable through it. :bad-words: My concern obviously is that there is now an open hole in the bulkhead - is this something I should really get sorted or will it not cause much leakage etc? If anyone could supply a part no. or size of grommet that would be great. I however, in a fit of rage, threw the remainder of my grommet several miles away, which in reflection was a very silly, yet satisfying thing to do. Many thanks :notworthy:
  20. My skill turned into frustration very early on
  21. Ok, so I took my clocks out for the 1st time earlier. Those top 2 screws that hold them in place - WOW. I must've lost the screw 8-10times down below, so each time, undid the plug, out the clocks come. Does anyone have any tips/advice on how to get these buggers back in - other than lots of swearing and cursing! Im using a magnetised screwdriver too, they're just bloody difficult!!! Lol
  22. Thanks for the comments guys! All feedback welcome here  Got a little update coming soon when I can be arsed, I went for the darker tints on fogs/indicators in the end tho, very pleased with em!
