C5 OEM

ok so having just put my matrix back in and tested everything now the car wont run..!!!! when i put the igniton on the abs light and stereo dont work, the car starts but then cuts out....??? the ignition has struggled to start a few times as if the ignition is dead then 2nd/3rd time kicks in...??!! so could the ignition switch cause these faults..???

Thats a bit of a bargain is it not? :shock: i do drive a hard bargain and gave them some shit by calling in everyday but they`ve done a good job and did let me work on the car as well

Most places will charge upto 150 per panel assuming there no major work to do.. 80% of bodyshops dont want to get involved in older cars having to match paint and sort out rust ect Painting a car can be a very long and costly job and normally things will break along the way and add to the cost.. I`ve thought about a thread regarding cost of work to help people not get ripped off. Any how here`s the cost of the work ive had done To paint front bumper/ slam panel/ grill/ mirrors and the slam panel was in bare metal cost £250 To take dents out of the bonnet and paint/ both wings/ both doors/ rear glass removed/ rear arches folded and pulled / rear quarters painted inculding A- pillar through to the c pillar/ paint the lower rear valance. Dents removed from roof as well. The car was completely stripped down so no masking lines and everything prep`d and flatted several times before the final paint was applied cost £750

Need the screw cover for the clock surround it pinged off during removal..!!! sure its still in the car but cant find it yet..¬¬!!!!

Hoovers just broke as well, the gods not on myside today... cheers mate, hope this matrix goes in ok tomorrow..luckily i`ve got a quiet day tomorrow so hope to have it all done..!! might even put the rs`s on to cheer myself up..lol 8)

is it absolutely necessary to remove the central facia surround as i`m struggling with a couple of the screws..!!

The main draw back at the moment is time, every job seems to eat up half a day.... fingers crossed the matrix gets sorted tomorrow... I honestly dont want to sell the car but maybe something has to give.

Just started pulling the dash apart to replace the heater matrix...... Unless some miracle happens you`ll see it next in a for sale section.. :mad2:

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ............................... just been out in the car to borrow my brothers camera, got back home and as i was taking pictures the heater matrix blew...!!!!! if i didnt laugh i`d go and smash the piece of shit up..!!!!!!!

Think i`ve overdosed on the car over the last 2 weeks with constantly going back and forth to the bodyshop and then waiting days to get it back.. Ive spent 4 hours on it this morning tidying stuff up and re fitting door cards ect.. Wish i had a garage and could just put it away and out of mind and forget about it for a few weeks..
