  1. well spotted MZpog I was so focused on the RS200 I didn't see the metro peeking out - another monster of a group B car! oh & I see what looks to be an original M3 Evo as well - wonder what other treasures are about there
  2. indeed m8 the person I brought my VR off had a mint Lancia Stratos in his garage when I collected the VR, red with gold wheels & the black bar thingy over the roof awesome machine & I still kick myself for not asking for a sit in it!
  3. could I have first refusal of the stainless tank straps pls coullstar? (if the new owner doesn't want them of course)
  4. deary me, that's me off to the bathroom Billcor! the RS200 is quite a tiny little bit more of a legend than the sierra cossie lol watching the pikes peak RS200 go up the goodwood hill last week on TV makes me wish even more I could have one of them someday not many cars could make me want them over the 993 GT2 but for an RS200 I think an exception would have to be made ticket on Fridays Euro for me lol
  5. good point. no tilt handle I guess
  6. thanks for the update & for the continued hard work trying to make something happen with these :)
  7. my word!! you could buy a porker 993 GT2 for that money - the absolute daddy of all 911's!!
  8. I've been using this on my 2 week road trip around Europe and this works well even with a open can of coke with no spillage. The Can was small but a bit of screwed up paper on the bottom did the trick. Only cost me £2 to get the cup. winner m8!! thanks for trying & the feedback ;) it is a handy place indeed lol
  9. that's the puppy m8 :) nice looking motor did you change the wheels form the solitudes?
  10. silly money I believe!! they are up there with a zonda
  11. welcome :) for pics..... click the 'go advanced' button at the right hand side foot of the 'quick reply' window then look for the 'manage attachments' there you will be able to browse to the file you want to attach & click upload :)
  12. oh my word that is a serious motor extremely lucky to have a sit in one!! thanks for sharing
  13. click the 'go advanced' button at the right hand side foot of the 'quick reply' window then look for the 'manage attachments' there you will be able to browse to the file you want to attach & click upload hey presto the images appear in the post :)
  14. happy to help share my experience's m8 the VR is a process of continual improvement & I always try to use the best parts which are either suitable or available
  15. act with caution if poly bushing as more often than not I believe they make the rado much harsher than most desire IIRC it is a must to go with OEM rear beam bushes due to the way the beam is meant to have a degree of flex in it, as per its design, which a poly bush can remove also, again IIRC, some people do install R32 front wish bone bushes as they are meant to be better than standard but personally I have found the OEM ones to be fine same with gear box & engine mounts - I think many of the aftermarket options produce a higher degree of harsh ride. Personally I have changed the front & rear gearbox mounts for OEM & have a vibratechnics front engine mount with OEM rear
  16. as say I didn't want to pee on your fire m8 but I wanted you to know the risks / downsides of what you were planning. I couldn't recommend any suitable lowered dampers sorry. when I researched suspension prior to buying the KW's I only really considered coilovers as they come in kit form & the damper is matched to the spring rate & their max / min damper travel. my main concern was buying a reputable brand which had excellent reviews by both corrado & non corrado owners & also one which I could have some faith in. you hear / read lots of horror stories about cheap suspension / coilovers or unmatched springs & dampers. lots of stuff about how cheap suspension not only performs poorly but also don't last many miles. I think ive done about 55+ K miles on my V1's now I decided on KW as all 3 versions get excellent reviews all round, you can deal with them direct (& I negotiated a discount with them to), I believe they will customise spring rates for you if you ask (check with kevin bacon as he says a slightly softer spring rate on the V1's gives a crackingly good balance), they are very reputable & used to make the suspension for the Porsche Carrera Cup cars ;) suspension is one of the primary things that make a car what it is & should not be skimped on. kinda like tires as they actually make contact with the road you drive on & it makes sense that if your suspension cant keep the tire on the road properly then it can only be detrimental. it would be like turbo'ing a VR & then using 20 year old petrol to drive it.....bl00dy awful lol as for the running gear m8 that was all tackled incrementally over a fairly long period. I don't have any part numbers to hand or costs sorry but it included: track rod ends, drop links, cv joints, front wishbone bushes, rear beam bushes, front & rear suspension top mounts I had the wishbone bushes & rear beam bushes done quite a while after installing my KW V1's & they made such a difference. a much more 'cushioned' feel to it whilst maintaining the superb cornering I think rado's need to be a 'process of continual improvement' ;) lol I hope that info helps but do check out the redfox post I linked as it is a brilliant read :)
  17. I feared as much. Personally, for technical reasons, I would never consider this option m8 have a read of Redfox's extremely well detailed post on suspension & how to improve handling here.... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?23595-The-Suspension-Discussion-Thread/page102 & I quote from that.... 'Don't fall for the temptation to install lowering sprng to the original dampers, as they need to be shorter in their body, to Work within their normal range when driving. Don't do it!' thus the above implies that you will potentially ruin your 'ride' by fitting springs to dampers which they are not designed for unfortunately there really is no cheap option when it comes to suspension & I would highly recommend replacing all the cars running gear as the new front wishbone bushes & rear beam bushes for example make such a difference to ride comfort sorry to p155 on your fire m8, I just wanted to make you fully aware if you were not already
  18. really sorry, I forgot to check - I will do so later
  19. hi chuggs are you fitting the lower springs to standard dampers or are you changing the dampers too? reason I ask is it is unadvisable to fit a lowering spring to a standard damper as you will reduce the travel of the latter & it will not perform effectively or well
  20. hi hasan they are listed on his website http://www.RayneAutomotive.co.uk ;)
  21. congrats on selling the rado wayne hopefully your next one, whenever that may be, will not be so troublesome
  22. it is in the suppliers section m8 http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?91265-Your-Friendly-Neighbourhood-VW-Parts-Department!-FORUM-DISCOUNT-AVAIALBLE!
  23. watching stuff on record last night & put Bad Education on - enjoyed the program but also spotted!! it was the school trip episode at about 1.50 :)
  24. Hmmmm odd - if it has an uprated loom the voltage should be ok I would check the output at the lights with a volt meter & go from there. if you have over 12 volts it would imply your thoughts are correct as your lights are working that would imply that any fuses or relays in said uprated loom should be ok - else you would have no light at all in some combination thus if the above is all true it could just be the bulbs themselves are dim unless the uprated loom that is fitted is itself loosing voltage - which could be proven by taking the voltage reading at the lights
